The Opportunity

"The Analyst, Category Management is a critical role within the FICO Procurement team reporting to the Sr. Director, Indirect Procurement. The role is an individual contributor. However, the role will partner with key business units to drive supply continuity, reduced lead times and deliver leveraged value/savings aligned with the business needs." - Sr. Director, Category Management

What You'll Contribute

  • Understanding of Indirect categories, such as HR, Marketing, Professional Services, Events, Legal, Facilities and Finance.  Proficient in negotiating these deals, familiarity with the relevant global suppliers and particular deal structures including contract terms

  • Customer Service and Team Building: Has customer focused mindset; engenders support and trust from all levels of the organization

  • Functional procurement knowledge: Worked in sourcing and/or category management roles that drive current procurement practices and next generation methodologies. 

  • Executional Excellence: Ability to get things done and multi-task; acts with a sense of urgency; willingly takes on tactical roles to achieve objectives; able to prioritize; strong decision making/judgment skills

  • Collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders including Business Unit Leadership, Procurement Leadership, Finance, Accounts Payables, Internal Audit, and Legal teams

  • Demonstrates adaptability for working in culturally diverse environments, ensuring that communication styles are appropriate given the differing needs of global teams

  • Asks critical questions to challenge status quo thinking 

  • Support the Procurement team to drive and deliver cost savings opportunities aligned with organization commitments.

  • Assist in executing against consistent global procurement strategies and practices.

  • Responsible to support category plans, roadmaps; including analyzing and evaluating benchmarking for supplier performance.

  • Review and assess contracts, and manage pipeline in E-Sourcing and Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools

  • Support category procurement goals, metrics, and work plans to meet operational objectives in key category areas

What We're Seeking

  • A few years of experience in Procurement.

  • 4-year degree in related field required.  

  • Strong Financial Acumen.

  • Ability to develop relationships and credibility across the organization; demonstrates business acumen, including negotiation skills resulting in win/win scenarios with external suppliers and internal partners  

  • Ability to work and communicate with departments throughout the organization, with minimal supervision

  • Possess the ability to deal effectively with pressure, multiple tasks, deadlines and rapidly changing priorities

  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office (Project, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

  • Proficient in use of E-Sourcing Tools (preferably Workday Strategic Sourcing)

  • Ability and willingness to travel occasionally
