YOUR ROLE
Working closely with the VP of Operations, Carriers, the Manager of Carrier Partnerships will be responsible for supporting our carrier partnerships that are distributed on the Bold Penguin platform to support the company's growth and profitability goals. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and strong negotiation skills, a proven track record of supporting successful partnerships, and an understanding of the industry landscape. This includes knowledge of digital insurance platforms that allow customers to compare and purchase insurance policies from multiple providers. agency distribution, operations, and the commercial insurance industry.
WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Support partners by presenting information to business contacts and executives, identifying system or operational issues, and recommending solutions. Monitor issues through to resolution.
  • Monitor and analyze partnership performance against key performance metrics and provide regular updates to partners to influence decision-making and outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including potential partners, customers, and internal teams ensuring high retention of existing accounts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define partnership goals, objectives, and success metrics, and ensure alignment with the company's overall strategy.
  • Support the implementation and execution of partnership initiatives, including joint marketing campaigns, co-development of products and services, and other collaborative efforts.
  • Cultivate relationships with new and existing partners and ensure clients understand Bold Penguin's value proposition, product roadmap, and partnership opportunities.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape, and provide insights and recommendations to inform partnership strategies.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in relationship management, partnership development, business development, or related roles.
  • 5+ years experience in the insurance industry, preferably with some commercial line experience.
  • Proven track record of developing successful partnerships with a range of partners, including independent agencies, MGAs, carriers, financial services, and other key stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decision-making.
  • Understanding of the industry landscape, including emerging trends and technologies.
  • Knowledge of digital insurance platforms and APIs.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results.
  • Travel required as needed.


Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods of time, (up to 8 hours per day) at a desk working on a computer.
  • Must be able to use standard office equipment for extended periods of time, including but not limited to, a mouse, keyboard, phone and video conferencing.


The expected starting salary range for this role at Bold Penguin is $78,300 to $122,260. This position offers a competitive salary range that may vary based on experience and qualifications.
