About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Capital Markets Middle Office Director who will provide leadership, decision making, and strategic direction for the Operations organization for Wells Fargo Securities (WFS) Operations.
The leader will work with all Operations team members, including leadership, to identify AND assist in resolution of systemic or systematic risks within the organization to ensure delivery of key projects on time and to budget. This leader will work close with the Operational Risk Team, both at the WFS level and at the enterprise level.
The leader will represent WFS Operations and meet with clients, regulators and auditors (internal and external), developing working relationships with both teams. Additionally, the manager will be accountable for creating a team, hiring, leading and managing human capital in support of growth in the space. This incorporates performance management and evaluation, human capital development and retention and promotion; responsible for administrating a department budget.
Finally, the individual will need to consistently demonstrate the Wells Fargo core values and ensure that they are reinforced throughout the team and overall organization.

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$215,000.00 - $355,000.00

Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of Capital Markets industry experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience,
- 4+ years of management experience
- Successfully completed FINRA Series 99 exam to qualify for immediate registration (or FINRA recognized equivalents)
- Proven Capital Markets experience in an Operations, Compliance or Risk Control Organization
- Management experience within a Capital Markets Division building out and developing an organization, staffing decisions, system choices, system implementation
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory reporting needs and Dodd-Frank, and ability to create efficient and effective processes and controls with a goal to minimize systemic and systematic risks
- Strong knowledge of building KRI's, BSA's and understanding of risks and controls specific to a capital markets operations organization
- Familiarity with the current regulatory environment and with any pending or proposed changes (Dodd-Frank, Volker, EMIR, BREXIT, QFC, Books and Records, RRP, etc.)
- Comprehensive financial products and controls knowledge preferred (Broker Dealer and Bank activity)
- Industry relationships (e.g. broker/dealer community, CCP's/DCO's, and asset class specific boards and working groups)
- Confidence to deal with both external and internal clients, regulators and vendors
- MBA or CFA preferred
- Obtaining and/or maintaining appropriate Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) license(s) is required for ongoing employment in this position
- Currently holds FINRA 99.
- Specific compliance policies may apply regarding outside activities or personal investing; affected employees will be expected to provide information to the Wells Fargo Personal Account Dealing Team and abide by applicable policy requirements if hired. Information will be shared about expectations during the recruitment process.
