The Impact You Will Have
The Associate Director supports the financial analysis, market research, capital marketing, underwriting, and closing processes for commercial real estate transactions. This role works closely with originators and senior team members to analyze financing opportunities, prepare marketing materials, and assist with the execution of debt and equity placements.
Primary Responsibilities
Support loan originators and senior team members in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and maintaining client relationships
Conduct market research to evaluate potential transactions
Develop financial models and analyze debt and equity financing scenarios for commercial real estate transactions
Assist with the preparation of investment memoranda, offering materials, and client presentations
Support the review and analysis of financing proposals, lender feedback, and commitment terms
Coordinate transaction processes from initial analysis through closing, working with internal teams and external partners
Assist with managing multiple transactions simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
Maintain transaction records and client information within Salesforce and other internal systems
Provide mentorship and guidance to analysts and interns, assisting with training and task delegation as needed
Develop strong relationships with internal teams including underwriting, marketing, legal, and closing groups
Perform other duties as assigned
Attendance is generally 8:30 am – 5:30 pm local time Monday through Friday
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree (prefer finance and/or real estate concentration)
5+ years of commercial real estate experience
Experience with multifamily property types a plus
Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac multifamily production or underwriting experience a plus
CPA, CFA, CCIM, or BRE licensed Salesperson a plus
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent financial modeling skills including thorough knowledge of Excel, ARGUS, and Indesign a plus
Proficiency in MS Outlook and Word, and ability to learn Salesforce and other company software as needed
Proven written and oral communication skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to accurately and productively handle multiple tasks during time sensitive situations
Interest and ambition in sourcing and originating new transactions
Ability to show ownership of your work, take on challenges and acknowledge growth opportunities, and demonstrate patience when learning new processes
Courtesy, respect, and thoughtfulness in teaming with colleagues and other stakeholders
This position has an estimated base salary of $80,000 - $90,000 plus discretionary production incentives. An employment offer is based on the applicant’s relevant work experience, applicable knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data
