WHY WE THINK YOU WILL LOVE THIS ROLE
Working as part of the McDonald's Marketing team, the role focuses on supporting the team in the creation of key marketing campaigns
Day to day, the role will be a combination of support for the (Senior) Brand Manager as you work together on exciting marketing and advertising campaigns, and overall team administrative responsibilities. The job will be busy, varied and broad as you support in the management of a huge volume of work across all media channels including TV, Outdoor, Radio, Press, Digital, Social Media and In-Restaurant and assist the digital and loyalty team to ensure that day-to-day business runs smoothly.
From reviewing scripts, collating feedback on photography, organising team meetings, attending TV shoots and so much more; no one day at McDonald's is the same as the next...it's a big, exciting business to work on, and we are looking for a superstar to fill their Campaign Assistant vacancy.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE AGENCY
This provides a fantastic opportunity for someone proactive and organised, with enthusiasm and strong attention to detail to kick start their career in marketing and learn from one of the most iconic brands in the world. A passion for the McDonald's business is a must, and whilst project management and administrative skills represent the crux of the role, developing an eye for strong creative work will become increasingly important as the role progresses.
Digging deeper on the details

  • Production support across all channels for designated campaigns (including TV, Outdoor, Radio, Press, Digital, Social Media and In-Restaurant) as briefed by relevant line manager. An example of a campaign could be the recent Deal Drop Loyalty Promotion.
  • Using creative judgement to assess campaign work and deliver timely, clear feedback to the relevant line manager and partner agencies
  • Leading meetings with key departments (such as Legal and Comms) to gain feedback and approval on work
  • Organisation and attendance of shoots for TV/Print/Social Media (e.g. organising meetings, timing plans, food and equipment orders and ad-hoc troubleshooting)
  • Department Head and broader team admin support including collating and circulating agendas for key meetings, pre-read collation and general diary management
  • Taking minutes for meetings and translating these into clear, concise contact reports
  • We anticipate that the right individual will grow and develop in the role, eventually broadening their responsibilities to lead in the management of some secondary channels e.g. Social Media.


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO HAVE

  • Ideally you will have studied a relevant course within marketing or communications
  • You will have solid office environment, ideally in marketing or similar industry, at a junior level
  • You will have a passion for the McDonald's brand and wider marketing industry
  • Enthusiasm for the creative process of campaign development
  • Able to proactively take ownership for tasks and follow these through thoroughly
  • Adapts quickly and resourcefully to shifting priorities
  • Enjoys and is capable of working both independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrates excellent attention to detail
  • Clear communicator who is articulate, both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrates a keenness to learn in order to develop business and creative competence
  • Possesses strong relationship management skills in order to get collaborator approval of creative work
  • Listens and asks clarifying questions to understand others' point of view and identify actions
  • Able to distil sophisticated feedback into clear and actionable next steps
  • Works with others collaboratively to identify barriers and potential solutions
  • Assumes responsibility for contact between McDonald's Marketing, other business collaborators and the partner agencies on all aspects of campaign delivery.
