Job Summary:

The Calibration Services Sales Representative is a field-based, quota-carrying role responsible for driving growth in FUTEK’s calibration services business. This individual will focus on generating net-new revenue, expanding existing accounts, and building long-term, recurring service relationships.

The ideal candidate is a proactive and commercially driven sales professional with experience in consultative or services-based selling, preferably within calibration, technical services, manufacturing, or industrial environments. This individual should be comfortable owning a revenue target, managing a pipeline, negotiating service agreements, and building relationships with engineering, quality, and procurement stakeholders.

Essential Job Functions:

Revenue Generation

  • Own and close net-new calibration services revenue.
  • Build and expand recurring revenue through service agreements and scheduled recalibration programs.
  • Identify and reclaim calibration work currently outsourced to third-party providers.
  • Increase calibration services penetration within existing customer accounts.
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and consistently meet or exceed revenue targets.

Field & Account Engagement

  • Spend the majority of time engaging directly with customers and prospects.
  • Serve as the primary commercial point of contact for calibration services.
  • Develop strong relationships with engineering, quality, and procurement stakeholders.
  • Conduct consultative sales conversations to understand customer needs and position service solutions.

Internal Collaboration

  • Partner cross-functionally with calibration, sales, technical, and customer support teams to execute opportunities.
  • Align sales activities with operational capacity and turnaround expectations.
  • Provide accurate forecasting and communicate customer demand trends.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to carry and achieve a sales quota.
  • Experience in consultative or services-based selling.
  • Strong track record of closing business and managing a sales pipeline.
  • Experience negotiating service agreements, contracts, or recurring revenue programs.
  • Ability to build relationships with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel and engage customers in a field-based environment.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in sales, preferably in technical services, calibration, or related industries.
  • Experience working with industrial, manufacturing, or engineering-focused customers is a plus.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct experience selling calibration services or working within a calibration environment.
  • Familiarity with quality systems, compliance standards, or metrology concepts.
  • Background in building or scaling recurring revenue programs.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify growth opportunities within accounts.

 

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

Work Environment:

Much of this job is conducted in an office setting while utilizing standard office machinery. However, job requires frequent visits to the Production area where the employee may be frequently exposed to airborne particles, mild fumes and moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the office setting is considered low. The noise level in the Production area is considered moderate.

 

Physical Demands:

Requires regular, predictable, attendance and punctuality. Requires prolonged periods or sitting, occasional standing, stooping, bending and reaching and repetitive hand movements.
