About the Role:    

As a Project Buyer, you’re an active member of project teams. You contribute to the team by understanding the products, equipment, and services required to implement a project, and you work with vendors and subcontractors to make sure pricing falls within our budget and lead times work with the overall project schedule. While working with vendors and subcontractors, you develop and maintain relationships with them that help to solidify our understanding of their abilities and capacity to perform work for us, while helping our partnerships grow.


In this role, you will:    

  • Grow your understanding of the types of materials and services required in material handling construction, as well as with our established suppliers.
  • Purchase quality materials, equipment, and services from established suppliers through purchase orders and subcontracts in DCS systems.
  • Procure and manage on site rentals and consumables, as well as arrange for disposal of surplus materials.
  • Work with 3PLs to arrange transport of goods and track orders to ensure timely delivery. 
  • Resolve any discrepancies in quantity/quality of materials or services received with suppliers, escalating to management when necessary.

  • You're comfortable with Microsoft Office products (primarily Teams, Outlook, Excel).
  • You have some experience in the material handling, construction, or similar industries.
