As a Buyer supporting AHEAD's Foundry team, you play a pivotal roll by managing supplier relationships, negotiating pricing, and keeping our purchasing process running smoothly.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Negotiate cash improvement and rebates 
  • Evaluate cash based on delivery models 
  • Request quotes and collect data from suppliers 
  • Run QBRs for your suppliers 
  • Enter and place purchase orders for commodities assigned 
  • Add, identify and implement cost savings initiatives 
  • Qualify/disqualify suppliers based on quality and compliance data 
  • Enforce Supplier Requirements Document 
  • Improve inventory turnover by managing delivery timing 
  • Identify delays that impact on time delivery and put changes in place to improve 
  • Assist in gathering forecasts to communicate to suppliers 
  • Load RFQ attributes including pricing as they are received 
  • Set Strategy for categories where appropriate 
  • Investigate and communicate tariff impacts 
  • Manage Partner programs 
  • Run reports based on category or partner 
  • Issue SCAR’s to suppliers 
  • Work in a ticketing environment 

Qualifications

  • 4 years experience or a combination of a college degree with a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
  • A keen sense of urgency 
  • The ability to multitask 
  • The ability to learn and demonstrate proficiency in ERP and purchasing systems 
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing and executing sourcing initiatives 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills 
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • Experience with Dell, Supermicro, Lenovo, HPE 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google application suites 
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and follow through 
  • Demonstrated experience in Purchasing and Quoting systems 
  • Experience using SQL 
  • Experience in demand planning and forecasting 
  • Experience sourcing in  ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016 environment

The compensation range indicated in this posting reflects the On-Target Earnings (“OTE”) for this role, which includes a base salary and any applicable target bonus amount. This OTE range may vary based on the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
