The Buyer will purchase materials, supplies, and services by developing, soliciting, and analyzing supplier quotations. Material procurement for series production. Coordinates activities with other departments and suppliers to ensure proper delivery, quality, reliability, and low-cost consistency. Developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers. Resolves conflicts that arise with supplier delivery schedules, raw materials, inventory, etc. Implementation and safeguarding of the global commodity strategy, taking into account plant-specific requirements. Participates in continuous improvement activities. Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field including 3+ years of automotive purchasing and/or materials experience.
- Knowledge of Supply Chain Management
- Basic knowledge of Electronic Components and/or Magna processes
- Strong facilitation, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to establish priorities, identify and set goals, meet deadlines, etc.
- SAP experience preferred, MS Office skills required
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as needed.
- Experience in a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment, with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
- Proven experience working with cross functional teams to complete daily tasks and projects.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, supervisors, and other employees.
- Knowledge/experience of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
- Strong problem-solving skills to identify and troubleshoot issues that may arise.
ROLE EXPECTATIONS
- Review and maintain PPV Performance
- Supports PCN Process
- PO creation and distribution
- Monitoring of the ordering process:
- Verification of the created purchase requisition
- If necessary, renegotiation with the supplier
- Triggering the order after the release of the purchase requisition
- Control of order confirmations
- Monitoring of the delivery date
- If necessary, invoice control
- Evaluate areas for cost reduction activities
- Support Materials and Supply Chain Escalation team if supply interruptions occur
- Ensure suppliers have current ISO/TS certifications
- Coordinate purchasing process improvements and verify adherence to existing practices
- Cost tracking of purchase prices for series production, taking into account company goals
- Conduct market research and price analysis related to relevant cost drivers
- Familiarity with terms and conditions processes
- Master data maintenance in the purchasing relevant tools
- Cross train on other Buyer's commodities
- Other duties as assigned
