Job Description
As the Indirect Buyer for Material Handling and Fleet Management Services, you will be responsible for leading all strategic sourcing activities for the category including but not limited to Material Handling Equipment, Lease Equipment and Sales Fleet. This position will leverage their experience and knowledge to execute the strategy through the sourcing process. They will ensure program compliance through supplier and contract management creating value for Kraft Heinz. This position will drive sustainable strategies that will actively seek to reduce and/or control costs for their assigned categories while increasing efficiencies for the business. This position will work closely with the stakeholders in Procurement, Logistics and the Plants to provide innovative services to meet business objectives. The successful candidate must be able to focus on balancing superior service to internal business clients, while maximizing value for the company of services purchased.
What's on the menu:
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  • Manage mid to executive-level clients and supplier relationships on an ongoing basis to ensure customer satisfaction, including conducting Supplier Business Reviews.
  • Lead Sourcing Management for the assigned North American Zone categories for Kraft Heinz.
  • Lead and deliver performance goals for categories representing a significant amount of spend.
  • Manage strategic sourcing projects for supplier selection/optimization to execute Category Management vision and strategies.
  • Identify business needs at the sourcing project level in assigned areas.
  • Develop multi-year sourcing vision and strategy based on the data, insights, and business requirements and capabilities.
  • Identify and evaluate potential value generating projects based on complexity, resources, risk, time to implement, and estimated financial impact.
  • Manage the supplier selection and RFx award process.
  • Applies advance level of negotiation techniques and tools in all situations; ability to apply competency across categories.
  • Actively maintain strong understanding of category dynamics (current market, pricing, cost drivers, industry, and supplier variables) through trade groups, publications, etc.
  • Enable continuous process improvement and cost reduction.
  • Ensure the strategic sourcing process is robustly applied to all sourcing projects.

Recipe for Success:
Expected Experience & Required Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, finance, business, or related field. Candidates with extensive relevant experience and certifications (e.g., CPM, CPIM, etc.) may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 2+ years of experience in indirect procurement, purchasing, strategic sourcing, or a related field.
  • Strong written, verbal, and analytical skills, as well as interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Ability to understand, organize, and communicate complex information in an easily understandable format tailored to a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, support requests from, and interact directly across all levels of the organization.

  • Have strong analytical, planning, and execution skills, including exceptional attention to detail.

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and have an understanding for source-to-pay tools (SAP, Ariba, etc.).

New Hire Base Salary Range:
$77,800.00 - $97,300.00
Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
