Your Role at impact.com:

The Business Value Engineer (BVE) plays a critical role in demonstrating the financial and strategic value of our solutions to customers. This role bridges the gap between technical capabilities and business impact, working closely with sales, product, and customer success teams to quantify value, build compelling business cases, and drive adoption of our solutions. The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of experience in financial modeling and is eager to strategically partner with sales teams to quantify business value.

What You'll Do:

Value Assessment & Business Case Development

  • Assist in creating financial models and business cases to support sales efforts
  • Collaborate with internal teams and customers to understand their business challenges, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Develop ROI (Return on Investment), TCO (Total Cost of Ownership), and value realization models to quantify the business impact of our solutions
  • Help build and deliver customized value assessments, ROI analyses, and business case justifications for potential and existing clients
  • Create executive-level presentations and reports that articulate business value in a clear, compelling way

Sales & Customer Engagement

  • Research and analyze customer requirements, challenges, and industry trends
  • Partner with sales teams to support customer engagements, conduct needs assessments and deliver insights that drive deal progression
  • Conduct workshops, discovery sessions, and assessments to align solutions with customer needs
  • Collect and analyze financial and operational data to help develop ROI-driven business cases
  • Support renewal and expansion efforts by showcasing the realized value and potential future benefits

Data-Driven Analysis & Insights

  • Leverage market research, industry benchmarks, and customer data to refine value propositions
  • Continuously improve methodologies for measuring and communicating business impact
  • Assist in creating proposals and supporting sales teams in value-based selling efforts

Thought Leadership & Enablement

  • Develop frameworks, tools, and best practices to scale value-based selling across the organization
  • Train internal teams on value engineering techniques and messaging
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscapes, and customer priorities
  • Participate in team training sessions, workshops, and industry events to further develop expertise

What You Have:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or equivalent experience 
  • 1-2 years of experience in business value consulting, financial analysis, pre-sales, management consulting, or a similar role
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in financial modeling, business case development, and strategic analysis
  • Excellent communication and storytelling abilities, with the ability to influence executive decision-makers
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau), powerpoint and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
  • Experience in SaaS, enterprise software, or technology-driven industries is a plus
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
  • Willingness to travel (approximately 30%)

Salary range: $162,500-$175,000 OTE potential total on target earnings (base + 25% commission), per year, plus eligibility to receive a Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) grant.

Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
