POSITION SUMMARY

We're looking for a seasoned Salesforce Administrator to join our team of experienced Salesforce developers. This isn't your typical admin role; you'll be a key part of our technical team, bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. You'll be responsible for the declarative configuration and maintenance of our Salesforce org, with a strong focus on our Salesforce CPQ and Service Cloud instances. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Salesforce's declarative capabilities, a passion for user adoption, and a proven track record of working collaboratively with developers to deliver high-quality solutions.

‎

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Perform all standard Salesforce administration duties, including but not limited to, user management, security settings, custom object/field creation/update, and data management utilizing various data import/export tools.

  • Maintain Salesforce CPQ to support, including but not limited to, pricing models, product bundles, quote generation and advanced approvals.

  • Optimize Salesforce Service Cloud functionalities, including but not limited to, case management and omni-channel support as needed.

  • Assist with Salesforce integrated Docusign CLM administration, including but not limited to, updating workflows & templates.

  • Collaborate with our development team on more complex projects, helping to validate requirements and test custom solutions.

  • Tier 1 support:

    • Build and deploy custom fields, objects, layouts, and validation rules to support business processes.

    • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and custom views to provide key insights to business leaders.

    • User access, permissions & record updates

  • Develop test scripts and scenarios for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Quality Assurance (QA) to ensure new customizations meet business requirements and are defect-free.

  • Proactively seek process improvement opportunities.

  • Consider the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment.

  • Provide input on processes, procedures, or new approaches in support of the various business functions at Veritone.

  • Interact with business users and developers to define current and future application requirements.

  • Document business processes and flows in visio, graph.io or similar tool.

  • Manage projects according to the processes and standards set forth by the PMO.

‎

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Undergraduate degree and/or equivalent years of experience.

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a Salesforce Administrator

  • Salesforce Certified Platform Administrator required

  • The following certifications are highly desired:

    • Salesforce CPQ Administrator

    • Salesforce Certified Service Cloud Administrator

  • Proven experience as a Salesforce Administrator in a complex environment.

  • Demonstrable experience with Salesforce Service Cloud and CPQ.

  • Strong understanding of Salesforce's declarative automation tools (e.g., Flow, Process Builder).

  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset and a commitment to data integrity and user adoption.

  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment is a plus.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language and a talent for building strong relationships with both technical and non-technical teams.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
