Job Description:

Seeking a senior level Requirements Analyst to work on highly complex policy administration and Quote and Enrollment related projects. The role will be re-purposed for project work instead of Run type work. For VPI in Brea, CA.
This individual will work with our business partners to define and document business/systems requirements and work with our technical team within IT to develop a solution that meets business needs for a given business case. For minor claims and policy administration related project/production support, up to most complex projects:
•Lead and collaborate with cross functional business and technology teams to define project scope and estimates of highly complex business requirements; bring project stakeholders to consensus on project scope and concisely translate business scope to technology specifications
•Evaluate business needs, analyze data and processes, evaluate new and existing systems to determine gaps and fits, and translate business requirements to technology specifications.
•Facilitate and participate in application design sessions of complex business requirements; propose and formulate project solutions that align with future business strategy, meet current business requirements and considers technological architectural standards
•Write detailed functional and technical specifications and prepare other systems and functional documentation such as flow charts, use cases, and activity diagrams that clearly defines business and systems requirements
•Provide application support to existing applications in production
•Coordinate and participate in the QA testing process; work with programmers and QA analysts to analyze resolve issues.
•Provide consultative support to business units, project teams, act as liaison between user areas and technology, keep all parties informed of status, and effectively coordinate problem resolution.
•Coordinate, communicate and verify implementations.
Required experience includes:
•8 + years eliciting, analyzing, specifying, verifying, documenting and managing highly complex business requirements
•Good understanding of property/causality insurance business
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Solid understanding of Agile development practices
•Proficient in PL SQL
•Ability to communicate effectively throughout all levels of the organization
•Highly experienced in leading cross functional solution definition sessions with business and technology teams
•Effectively served as a liaison between IT and user community in a consultative role in translating business

The Requirements Analyst translates business and system needs into Solution Requirements for Designers, Developers and Testers to consume and uses Requirements elicitation, analysis, specification, verification and management techniques for the purpose. Requirements Analysts are engaged in work efforts at all scales ranging from minor defect fixes and enhancements to development of new applications. They are also involved in all types of solution approaches (custom development, package implementation etc.) and solution domains (business applications, data warehouses, web services, infrastructure etc.)
Top level expert in one or more highly specialized aspects of IT Analysis. Acts independently or with limited direction. Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. With this knowledge, develops or modifies the most complex information systems. Includes analysis of business and user needs, documenting requirements, and revising existing system log difficulties as necessary. Guides and advises less-experienced analysts . Considers the business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment.
