Business Services Representative

ABOUT THE ROLE:
Prepare and distribute incoming/outgoing USPS mail. Receive and deliver incoming FedEx, UPS, DHL, USPS parcels and messenger courier packages. Prepare outgoing shipments on internal courier systems. Track and record daily shipments on our internal Tracking System. Process outgoing First Class/Presort mail and apply postage as required. Perform scheduled mail routes as required throughout the day.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Distributes mail by retrieving items from various company office buildings, the post office, and delivery services, sorting by addressee, destination, and type.
• Provides shipping information and guidance to internal customers.
• Performs daily office tasks such as filing, recording, maintaining records, copying, sorting/distributing, and preparing mail, writing emails, and similar duties.
• Complies with postal and delivery service requirements by preparing outgoing mail and delivery.
• Assisting in all company events with Logistics, Staging, Setup’s and Break down, deliveries and pick-ups. Priority events with mandatory attendance. (Pier-to-Pier, GPC, Beach Life, etc.) 
• A continues upkeep of office cleanliness. (Wipe down counter tops and daily used office equipment.)
• Acts as relief to Copy Center in printing out and delivering requests.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Acts as relief to other Business Services Reps at other Corporate Buildings as needed.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

• Must be able to lift, carry, and otherwise move or position up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to travel to local stores, vendors, and/or businesses within Manhattan Beach and surrounding cities within a 50-mile radius.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record and be insurable under company’s standard liability policy, as issued by company’s current insurance carrier. Must have no more than 1 point reported on record and no DUIs.
• Physical activity required including frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and standing. Must be able to stack print output and materials into boxes or containers. May lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
• Excellent Customer service is essential.

REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• High school diploma, or equivalent.
• 1-2 years’ experience in a corporate environment in a similar capacity.
• Computer Skills: able to use Microsoft Office, such as Excel, Word, and Outlook. Ability to create basic spreadsheets and write clear and concise emails.

The pay range for this position is $19-$21/hr.
