A day in the life.

As a Business Process Leader, Finance on the National Business Process team you will be a strong process design focused professional who knows how to balance internal controls, efficiency, quality, consistent application of processes and organizing change management. This candidate will be working in conjunction with the Finance Corporate team, focusing on the activities within Controllership and FP&A as it relates to national operational workflows.  You will participate in the creation and testing of workflows, Systems, reporting and documentation for accuracy and completeness within the framework of MMA standard operating procedures and enterprise Epic.

This position will utilize agency management system, reporting tools, and other available technology and software when creating, documenting, and testing new processes.  The Business Process Leader, Finance will also participate in documenting and maintaining procedures, and other business process artifacts, to be used both in training and as an ongoing reference. In addition, this position will collaborate with regional training resources and other stakeholders to identify overarching knowledge gaps and ensure successful fulfillment of AMS onboarding and training needs.

We’d love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in finance/accounting within the insurance industry

  • Strong knowledge of agency management systems (CRM, AMS, LMS, etc.), such as Applied Epic, Sagitta, BenefitPoint, AMS360

  • Proven critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • A knack for process improvement, specifically refining the efficiency, quality, and effectiveness of various workflows and procedures by deploying best practices

  • Strong organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize workload and balance multiple projects simultaneously, and demonstrated successful follow through on deliverables

  • Demonstrated experience in effectively working with and presenting to a wide range of cross-functional work teams and leaders with multiple skill levels

These additional qualifications are a plus, but not required to apply:

  • Strong understanding of business process in Premium Accounting, Internal controls, Financial reporting, Sales compensation modeling.

Your Physical Demands & Work Environment requires:

  • Occasional travel may be required. Travel may consist of off-site venues, occasional overnight stays, and visits to other operating companies.

  • Work occurs during regular day hours as well as occasional extended hours and schedule flexibility necessary to complete tasks to meet needs.

  • Flexible location within reasonable proximity to an MMA office

The applicable base salary range for this role is $74,600 to $139,100.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
