The Manager, National Business Operations is a high-impact role within the Strategy & Planning team that directly supports national business initiatives and leadership priorities. This position functions both as a strategic operator, driving key cross-functional initiatives, and as the operational backbone of the Strategy & Planning team, ensuring effective coordination, clear communication, and disciplined execution of priorities. The Manager will oversee the day-to-day implementation of strategic initiatives, manage team operations and planning routines, and produce high-quality content and insights to support leadership decision-making.
Job DescriptionSTRATEGIC INITIATIVE SUPPORT & PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Support the execution of high-priority, cross-functional initiatives led by the Strategy and Planning team.
Translate strategic objectives into structured work plans, timelines, and measurable deliverables.
Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Distribution, and Shared Services) to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
Maintain end-to-end visibility into initiative progress, proactively identifying risks, dependencies, and opportunities.
STRATEGY & PLANNING TEAM OPERATIONS
Take ownership of the team’s operating model and continuously improve it, including planning timelines, meeting schedules, and systems for tracking priorities.
Design and lead effective, outcome-focused meetings by setting clear agendas, preparing strong supporting materials, and ensuring thorough follow-up.
Define and refine ways of working, along with the tools and processes used, to increase the team’s efficiency, clarity, and overall impact.
BUSINESS PLANNING & PROCESS ENABLEMENT
Support the execution of the annual business planning process across all functions, ensuring alignment, rigor, and timely completion.
Develop and implement planning tools, templates, and frameworks to enable consistent execution.
Monitor key milestones and deliverables, ensuring high-quality outputs from all stakeholders.
Contribute to the ongoing improvement of planning processes to increase efficiency and impact.
REPORTING, ANALYSIS, & BUSINESS INSIGHTS
Support the development and maintenance of key reporting tools and scorecards used to track business performance.
Identify gaps in existing reports and help create new tools to improve visibility and support better decision-making.
Conduct ad hoc analyses to support strategic initiatives and respond to leadership requests.
CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COORDINATION & COMMUNICATION
Serve as a central liaison among teams, ensuring alignment between strategy, planning, and execution.
Facilitate clear and effective communication among stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Maintain a strong understanding of the business by actively engaging with field, regional, and functional partners.
Support leadership with ad hoc requests, coordination of activities, and follow-up actions.
Qualifications4–7 years of experience in Business Operations, Strategy, Consulting, or a related field (experience in consumer packaged goods or a similar industry is preferred).
Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional projects and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
Experience creating executive-level presentations and distilling complex information into clear, concise messages.
Strong program and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities at the same time.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to tell a clear and compelling story.
High attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills and discipline.
An analytical mindset, with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations.
Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
A strong sense of ownership, with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving.
Comfortable working in ambiguous situations and creating structure where it does not yet exist.
A team-first attitude, with strong collaboration skills and the ability to influence others.
Curious, adaptable, and motivated to understand the business from end to end.
Exercises sound judgment and can operate effectively in a leadership-facing environment.
Additional InformationThis position is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or individuals who are currently authorized to work in the United States on a valid visa.
The base salary range for this position is $96,000 - 144,000 + cash incentives. Actual salary offers may vary based on work experience. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified.
