G1001 Innovations is a cross-functional team supporting the company’s strategic vision and growth. We focus on identifying and developing new business lines, designing and launching new products, identifying and structuring reinsurance and risk-transfer transactions for our balance sheet, and establishing and nurturing strategic partnerships within the insurance and broader financial services industry.

The Project Manager will support the planning, directing and coordinating of activities related to projects critical to the growth of the company. This individual will collaborate with and guide colleagues to ensure data is being captured, projects are moving along according to schedule, and information is communicated to appropriate counterparties. This position will provide project management expertise including leadership and consistent use of standard tools and project management methodology.

**Ideally, this individual will be located in either Chicago or New York City, with expected 1-3 days/week in the office.

How You’ll Contribute:

  • Plan, manage, and coordinate multiple assigned functional projects simultaneously, ensuring that stated goals and objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frames. Recognize when to adapt and shift tactics as applicable to the needs and context of the project.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans by gathering requirements from project teams, listening to meetings, and reading documents; ability to weed through information to determine tasks & milestones

  • Manages short and long term goals of the project and align them with client and organizational demands.  

  • Coordinate, plan and facilitate meetings with project teams and coordinate the interaction with other departments using proven tools and techniques. Make presentations to large audiences as required. 

  • Clearly communicates project goals, responsibilities and deliverables, and timetables to project teams and stakeholders, and ensures all are satisfactorily achieved. 

  • Plan and oversee the preparation and dissemination of project communications.

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the project sponsor and the project team. Foster an environment that results in team cohesiveness and motivation. 

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in briefing stakeholders on aspects of project progress related to work completion, scope, cost and quality

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with business and other teams (both internal and external).

  • Create summary reports or dashboards for project teams and executives.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree; in Business Administration, Project Management, Finance or related fields a plus
  • PMP Certification or equivalent Project Management certification required

  • Project Management experience supporting complex projects within financial services or strategy consulting

  • Strong familiarity with Project Management best practices

  • Proven ability to inspire teamwork, earn trust, facilitate collaboration and remove barriers to ensure project delivery

  • High level of analytical, strategic, and lateral thinking; attention to detail and precision

  • Strong executive presence with skills in presentation development and delivery

  • Ability to work independently, taking ownership of projects by acting as project manager as well as working in a “hands-on” capacity

  • Personal drive and determination; comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Compensation:

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $100,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $140,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on factors such as market location, job-related skills, and experience.

Benefits Highlights:  

Employees who meet benefit eligibility guidelines and work 30 hours or more weekly, have the ability to enroll in Group 1001’s benefits package.
