We’re looking for a senior-level Marketing BI Analyst to join our team on an independent contract basis for at least 9 months. In this role, you’ll partner closely with our Marketing team to turn campaign and user data into clear, actionable insights that drive growth—think optimizing performance across the funnel and building smart, scalable reporting in SQL and Tableau or ThoughtSpot. While this is a contract position, there’s potential for it to convert to full-time down the road.

***This is a 40-hour per week role and is fully remote, but applicants must reside in the US for consideration. Strong preference will be given to candidates who live in our open states: California, Colorado, Florida, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington DC, and Wisconsin.***

What does this team do? 

Our Marketing team drives growth across the full funnel—from acquisition through conversion, retention, and engagement. We leverage data-driven insights to optimize campaigns, enhance customer experiences, and achieve business goals. The Business Intelligence team supports these efforts by providing critical analysis and reporting that powers strategic decision-making. 

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced marketing environment, is fluent in data, and enjoys turning complex campaign performance and user behavior into clear, actionable insights that drive business growth.

What will you do in this role?

Work with our Marketing Analysts and Stakeholders to:

  • Understand goals and translate them into analytical work-streams
  • Analyze campaign performance across paid media, email, on-site messaging, and lifecycle touch-points
  • Provide actionable insights to optimize acquisition strategies and improve user engagement and retention
  • Design and evaluate A/B and multivariate tests to measure the impact of marketing initiatives
  • Monitor key Marketing metrics and surface emerging risks and opportunities across the funnel
  • Build, maintain, and improve Marketing dashboards in Tableau, ThoughtSpot, or similar tools
  • Ensure clarity and consistency in metric definitions across front-end and back-end Marketing
  • Support proactive reporting to reduce ad hoc asks and improve access to marketing insights
  • Evolve self-serve reporting capabilities
  • Perform exploratory analysis on audience segments to inform  targeting strategies Investigate campaign trends and support optimization of the customer journey through data

What do you need to apply?

  • 5+ years of experience in Marketing Analytics, BI, or data-focused roles
  • Proven track record of working with Marketing teams to improve performance
  • Advanced skills in  SQL for data extraction and transformation
  • Skilled in A/B test design and statistical analysis
  • Significant experience with visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, ThoughtSpot, Power BI)
  • Familiarity with campaign performance platforms & large-volume data structures (e.g., Google Analytics, email tools, ad platforms)
  • Strong communication skills, able to distill complex data into clear narratives
  • Highly collaborative with a consultative approach to working with stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented, curious, and proactive in surfacing insights
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple marketing-driven requests

Nice to haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Data Science, Business, or a related field
  • Python experience
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms
  • Background in financial services or subscription-based businesses

Compensation:

Hourly Pay Range
$70$95 USD
