About your role

As a Business Intelligence Intern at Rocket Lawyer, you will work alongside our BI and data teams to analyze and interpret data that drives our business decisions. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the world of data analytics, reporting, and business intelligence tools while helping our teams optimize operations and deliver value to customers.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze key business metrics, and contribute to data-driven strategies that improve how Rocket Lawyer operates and serves its users.

Reports to: Senior Director of Business Intelligence
Location: Remote, but you must be located in CA, AZ, CO, NC, or UT during the internship
Duration: June 9, 2025 - August 15, 2025, working 40 hours per week

How you will make a difference day to day

  • Assist in the development of reports and dashboards that track key business metrics, such as user growth, retention, and revenue.
  • Support data cleaning, transformation, and analysis to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Work with stakeholders across marketing, sales, and product teams to understand business needs and deliver actionable insights.
  • Participate in data modeling, identifying trends, and making recommendations for process improvements.
  • Help maintain and optimize BI tools and reporting infrastructure.
  • Gain exposure to a variety of data platforms and analytics technologies used at Rocket Lawyer.

What you’ll need

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g., Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Business Administration, or similar).
  • Basic experience with data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Excel, Python).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for learning about business processes, data, and technology.
  • Ability to communicate complex data insights in an easy-to-understand way for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • A proactive approach to working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Familiarity with data management and ETL processes.
  • Knowledge of statistical methods and data modeling.
  • Any prior internship or project experience related to data analytics.

Compensation

Base salary range by location:

  • Utah, Arizona, North Carolina: $23.60
  • California (Outside of San Francisco Bay area) and Colorado: $27.20

Actual compensation packages are determined by various factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, specific work location, and performance during the interview process.
