Business Intelligence Analyst for OPENLANE, Inc., Carmel, IN. Design data visualizations and dashboards that lead internal and external customers to action: data ingestion, data transformation, and create reports, charts, or dashboards to show results. Use data visualization tools such as Domo, Tableau, or Sisense. Provide data-driven recommendations to product owners based on analysis of customer behavior within products: perform exploratory data analysis and data preparation; consider the availability of data and the business problem, create statistical or machine learning models to answer questions using AWS, H2O, Jupyter Lab/Statistics, econometrics. Provide recommendations for decision making and create presentations, charts, or dashboards to show results. Use SQL, Python, Snowflake, DBT, Git/Business intelligence regularly. Frequently conduct complex Excel analyses, and utilize other BI tools and economics. Conduct both database engineering and data governance. Provide ad-hoc analyses to internal and external customers: understand stakeholders’ needs; perform exploratory data analysis and data transformations; and create reports. Work closely with product owners to establish key performance indicators: participate in meeting with product owners to understand the business problems; perform data exploration and discovery; and propose indicators, reports, or dashboards. Conduct economic modeling and retrogressions. May work remotely from anywhere in the US.

Requirements:

Master’s degree in Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Engineering, Computational Analysis, Information Management or similar degree, and 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a related occupation in business intelligence analysis.

Must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience with each of the following: Data Warehousing and ETL such as SQL, Python, Git/Business intelligence; Cloud-based platform and ML services such as AWS, Jupyter Lab/Statistics, econometrics, machine learning; visualization and dashboard tools such as Tableau; database engineering and data governance; advanced Excel, BI-Tools/Economics; and economic modeling/retrogressions. May work remotely from anywhere in the US.
