About Solace

Healthcare in the U.S. is fundamentally broken. The system is so complex that 88% of U.S. adults do not have the health literacy necessary to navigate it without help. Solace cuts through the red tape of healthcare by pairing patients with expert advocates and giving them the tools to make better decisions—and get better outcomes.

We're a Series C startup, founded in 2022 and backed by Inspired Capital, Craft Ventures, Torch Capital, Menlo Ventures, Signalfire, and IVP. Our U.S. based team is lean, mission-driven, and growing quickly.

Solace isn't a place to coast. We're here to redefine healthcare—and that demands urgency, precision, and heart. If you're looking to stretch yourself, sharpen your edge, and do the best work of your life alongside a team that cares deeply, you're in the right place. We’re intense, and we like it that way.

About the Role

As a Partnerships Associate at Solace, you will play a critical role in building and scaling our partnerships pipeline with organizations that directly serve patients and families.

This is a health-tech partnerships role focused on outbound prospecting, first conversations, signal-building, and pipeline development — laying the groundwork for scalable partnership motions as Solace grows.

You’ll engage partners such as hospital-adjacent businesses (post-acute, home health, rehab, care management, transitions-of-care vendors), pharmacies and pharmacy-adjacent services, marketplaces and consumer platforms, and patient organizations (nonprofits, advocacy groups, disease foundations, and membership associations).

This role is not about closing deals end-to-end on day one. Instead, you’ll be responsible for identifying the right partners, starting high-quality first conversations, learning enough to understand whether there is real potential, and building early signal before handing off deeper discovery, scoping, and closing to our Partnerships Lead. Over time, as our partnership motions become more defined and you demonstrate readiness, this role can grow into deeper discovery and eventually full-cycle ownership for select partners.

This is an individual contributor role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys building from zero to one, and wants to help define how partnerships work at a fast-growing health-tech company. You will report directly to Solace’s Partnerships Lead.

What You’ll Do
  • Build and maintain a high-quality partnerships pipeline across hospital-adjacent businesses, pharmacies, marketplaces, and patient organizations.

  • Own outbound prospecting and first conversations, identifying organizations and teams that can benefit from Solace and initiating thoughtful, high-signal conversations.

  • Engage hospital-adjacent stakeholders, including post-acute, home health, rehab, care management, and transitions-of-care teams, and understand how Solace fits into their workflows.

  • Engage pharmacy and pharmacy-adjacent organizations that support patients managing medications, benefits, and access.

  • Engage marketplaces and consumer platforms that serve high-intent patients and caregivers, and understand how Solace fits into their user journeys.

  • Run strong first conversations to understand surface-level needs, urgency, and fit, then hand off opportunities with strong early signal to the Partnerships Lead for deeper discovery, scoping, and closing.

  • Craft and iterate outreach messaging with precision and empathy, treating each interaction as the start of a long-term relationship.

  • Document learnings and patterns, helping turn early partnership experiments into repeatable, scalable motions.

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (partnerships, product, ops, marketing, clinical) to ensure strong handoffs, clear expectations, and smooth partner onboarding.

  • Maintain strong CRM hygiene, tracking pipeline health, partner engagement, and conversion signals.

  • Represent Solace externally with credibility and care — especially in mission-driven environments where trust and follow-through matter deeply.

What You Bring to the Table
  • A strong bias toward action and a desire to build momentum through consistent, high-quality outreach.

  • Experience in client/facing roles, such as sales, consulting, partnerships, or business development

  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and early-stage environments, where the playbook is still being written.

  • Sharp interpersonal instincts — you can ask great questions, listen carefully, and build trust quickly.

  • A builder’s mindset: you’re excited to help define what “great” looks like rather than inheriting a finished system.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills — clear, persuasive, and human.

  • High attention to detail and follow-through; you understand that partnerships succeed or fail in the seams.

Applicants must be based in the United States.

Up for the Challenge?

We look forward to meeting you.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
