The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Open new sales conversations through outbound prospecting and set qualified meetings for senior sales leadership. As one of the first sales hires, partner closely with leadership and keep pipeline activity organized. Strong performers can advance into an account executive role.
What you'll do
- Run outbound prospecting by phone, email and LinkedIn to reach finance-focused decision makers at public-sector organizations.
- Book qualified meetings for sales leadership and make sure prospects attend and the discussions are productive.
- Build lasting relationships with contacts rather than relying on one-off outreach.
- Track pipeline activity and follow-ups in a CRM, keeping outreach cadences consistent.
- Help shape how the team positions its offering, chooses target accounts and approaches outreach as the sales effort grows into new regions.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- 0 to 3 years of sales or go-to-market experience, or a strong record showing transferable drive.
- Persistence and willingness to put in high volumes of outreach without an established playbook.
- Strong written and verbal communication with reliable follow-through.
- Genuine interest in the company's mission, shown through a cover letter or clear explanation of fit.
- Authorization to work in the US.
- Based in or willing to relocate to Santa Monica for in-person work five days a week.
Bonus points
- Earlier exposure to sales, partnerships or other work that involves talking with customers.
- Comfort using a CRM and outreach software.
- An academic or professional background that shows interest in the public sector.
- Familiarity with technology vendors that serve government clients.
- A track record in competitive settings that shows drive.

- Base salary: USD 70,000 to 85,000 per year
