Job Description

Experian Employer Services is looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to contact prospective clients and determine the key decision makers within an organization. The BDR will find the decision maker within an organization and explain all of Experian Employer Services' (EES) offerings. Then follow up by email and phone, LinkedIn to provide the prospect with any additional information needed. The goal of the BDR is to set an introductory call between the prospect and our sales team. The BDR is the first impression many companies will have of Experian Employer Services. Since we sell a Service, the BDR must follow our strict protocol for excellent customer service in all they do. You will report to Experian's Director of Business Development.

Responsibilities:

  • Contact the prospective company by telephone and determine the decision makers for Unemployment Cost Management, Employment Verification Services, I-9, Compliance Library, Work opportunity Tax Credits (WOTC) Tax Withholding. Corporate contacts will be Payroll and Human Resource professionals in most cases
  • Follow up with prospect by email with additional information about Experian's services.
  • Research and respond to any questions the prospect may pose.
  • Attempt to schedule introductory sales calls with the prospect and the sales team.
  • Update sales database (Salesforce) with all information
  • Must demonstrate a high level of understanding of all services and products and communicate the value of these services and products to the prospect.
  • Participate in ongoing analysis of all prospecting, development of specific sales strategies and account plans to maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Work directly with Sales Management and the team to develop industry specific targeted sales opportunities and increase efficiency of the BDR function.

Qualifications

 

  • 2 or more years of sales experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher or relevant years of experience
  • Experience organizing, thinking on your feet and prioritizing work functions
  • Clear and pleasant speaking voice
  • Experience working in a customer service environment

  • Base salary plus commission (Total compensation is 60% base salary plus 40% commissions. 60/40 split).
