Job Description

About GDC

The Game Developers Conference (GDC) is the world's largest professional game industry event, bringing together video game programmers/developers, producers, designers, publishers, investors and business leaders to shape the future of the industry.

Position Overview

You will play a crucial role in optimizing sponsorship & exhibit space new business opportunities for GDC by proactively identifying, qualifying, and nurturing potential exhibitors, sponsors, and partners. You are a hunter-centric role focused on proactive pursuit of new business target accounts - including via a mix of sources such as competitive event exhibitor lists, lapsed exhibitor lists, gaming start-up company lists, and strategic account partner ecosystem lists of accounts. Target accounts will reside across the USA, LATAM, Europe and Asia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Outbound phone, email and social media sales outreach to assess and qualify new business prospects
  • Qualify leads through research and initial outreach, with objective to set meetings for the Account Managers team as part of commencing the sales process
  • Create and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified prospects, while monitoring progress and pipeline development
  • Conduct thorough research on target companies and decision-makers
  • Execute multi-channel outreach campaigns (email, phone, social media)
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM systems
  • Track and report on key performance metrics
  • Collaborate with marketing team on lead generation initiatives
  • Stay current with gaming industry trends and developments

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • 1-3 years of sales development or related experience
  • Strong understanding of sales development and sequencing processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and sales tools
  • Strong research and prospecting abilities
  • Goal-oriented mindset with proven track record of meeting targets
  • Basic understanding of the gaming industry

Desired Skills

  • Experience in events or conference industry
  • Knowledge of gaming industry &/or tech ecosystem
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator and other prospecting tools
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms
  • Multi-language capabilities
  • Understanding of B2B sales processes

The pay range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000, depending on experience
