Who We Are

At the birth of digital, Claravine noticed a persistent problem with data integrity. This discovery led to a unique category solution that continues to redefine how top brands and agencies manage the digital experience. We take the drama out of data by standardizing data at the source, giving people, teams, and technology a shared understanding of their data.

What We Do

Claravine is The Data Standards Company. We help brands and agencies deliver on the promise of modern marketing by standardizing taxonomies, naming conventions, and metadata across all digital experiences at the source of data creation. That’s why a quarter of the Fortune 100 use our platform, The Data Standards Cloud, to define, apply, and connect standards across their ecosystem for faster decisions, greater agility, and increased ROI.

We Are Hiring

As an Enterprise Business Development Representative (BDR), your job is to get marketing and data leaders at large brands on the phone and turn those conversations into qualified sales pipeline.

You'll own a set of target accounts and use cold calling, email, LinkedIn, and event outreach to connect with the right people. Working closely with Marketing and our Account Executives (AEs), you'll use modern outbound tools and AI-powered automation to research accounts, build prospecting workflows, and make your outreach more relevant.

This role is an opportunity to build enterprise sales skills and progress toward an Account Executive or other sales career path based on performance and business needs.

What You'll Do

  • Call first. Spend 2–3 hours a day on the phone. Coordinate calls and voicemails with email and LinkedIn outreach to start relevant conversations within your accounts.
  • Multithread. Work 10–15 contacts per account, across business units and up to the leaders who own the budget. If someone says "not my remit", ask who owns it and call them.
  • Use AI and automation. Build and improve account research and prospecting workflows using tools such as Claude, Clay and lemlist. Check the output and use it to make your outreach relevant.
  • Use content and events. Share relevant content, invite contacts to Claravine events and dinners, attend local industry events in person, and follow up with attendees.
  • Hand off opportunities cleanly. Give your AE the context they need to move forward: who the contact is, what problem they're trying to solve, why now, and whether a budget owner is involved. Keep Salesforce up to date and share feedback with Marketing on which messages are resonating.

Who You'll Call

You will engage with marketing and business leaders who own budget, plus their analytics, marketing ops, paid media and content teams (Manager to VP and above) at large North American brands. Many of them still run campaign naming in spreadsheets, agency-run processes or in-house builds. Often you're selling change, not just beating another vendor.

How We Keep Score

Success is measured by qualified opportunities (SQOs) from your accounts that your AE accepts. Conversations and meetings should uncover a relevant need and lead to those opportunities. We also track the activity behind them: dials, connects, conversations, talk time and meetings held.

Your First 90 Days

  • Days 1–30: Learn the product, our buyers and MEDDIC-style qualification. Roleplay talk tracks. Get your named accounts, which stay yours for at least a quarter. Go live on the dialer.
  • Days 31–60: Call every day, review your calls, and book your first qualified meetings against a ramped goal.
  • Days 61–90: Carry your full goal, and build a multithreaded account plan with your AE.

What You Bring To The Table

Required

  • Experience of outbound SDR/BDR or phone-based sales experience, including cold calling, with results you can show.
  • Ability to work from the Lehi office as required.
  • Confidence on live calls with senior leaders who aren't expecting your call.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to plan your day, protect calling blocks, and consistently log your activity.

Nice To Have

  • B2B SaaS or Martech sales experience.
  • Hands-on experience with a modern outbound stack and AI automation, such as Claude, Clay, Sales Navigator and lemlist. You've built your own research or prospecting workflows rather than relying solely on templates.
  • Experience prospecting named enterprise accounts and multithreading across buying groups.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
