Business Development Representative – (Enterprise Central)

The Business Development Rep (BDR) is a strategic role within the GTM team. The BDR identifies and qualifies new sales opportunities through using a blend of inbound and outbound prospecting. They create cross-functional alignment with Sales to build a consistent number of opportunities to provide a predictable and scalable pipeline for revenue growth and closed won business.

Three core elements of the BDR role:

Prospects, identifies, qualifies, and cultivates sales opportunities through a strategic blend of outbound and inbound techniques.

                                                         

Brings together research on key accounts from the GTM team, specialists, and tools. Uncovers key personas as part of the buying-unit. Develops coordinated strategies for follow-up and account penetration. Works closely with the Account Executives to develop an account plan to approach target customers to get higher and wider into prospect and customer accounts by having the ability to articulate value and uncover needs at each level of an organization.

Key Areas of Responsibilities:

  • Transforms Marketing Qualified Leads to Sales Opportunities, by cultivating and educating prospective buyers on the value of the Genesys solution to meet their specific business needs.
  • Becomes a trusted advisor to prospects and customers through inbound and outbound efforts, nurturing relationships and working with them until they are ready to progress in the sales cycle – provide information, discuss the product, do high-level demonstrations, and convey value.
  • Schedules and facilitates intro meetings w/potential buyers and expand on key buying persons and units in strategic accounts.
  • Positions Genesys as a global provider of software and services for communications, collaboration, and customer engagement.
  • Responsible for achieving aggressive quarterly targets, KPIs, and meeting SLAs around conversion rates, speed to lead, and qualification criteria.
  • Develops an advanced understanding of target personas, pain points, key metrics, and Genesys product features and functionality.

Desired Qualifications & Skills

  • Outbound prospecting/inside sales experience preferably within IT / Cloud solutions
  • Experience working with Salesforce.com or other CRM platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, organizational and telephone skills
  • Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks and work within deadlines with little supervision
  • Ability to analyze business opportunities and read situations well
  • Ability to gather and use data to inform decision making and persuade others
  • Ability to develop compelling strategies that deliver results with a strong attention to detail
  • Experience and deep understanding of front-line business development
  • A good technical aptitude and genuinely interested in technology
  • Ability to swiftly learn product solutions as well as general industry knowledge
  • Resourceful & ability to adapt quickly to changing environment
  • Ability to recognize gaps in processes and make recommendations on solutions
  • Understanding or experience in Meddpicc, Challenger Sale, or other prospecting training is a plus
  • Savvy with social selling, blogging, video, as well as all digital collaboration tools is a plus
  • Experience using technology in the workplace (i.e. Microsoft Outlook, Salesforce, Sales Navigator, SalesLoft, 6Sense, etc.)

Compensation:

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a commission or performance-based bonus opportunities.  

$45,400.00 - $84,200.00
