From page creation and judging to reporting and marketing, BUIDL AI streamlines the entire process.
Role OverviewWe’re looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to generate and qualify high-potential leads for BUIDL AI. Your focus will be sourcing organizations that want to host hackathons or developer programs, assessing fit, and handing off quality opportunities to our Account Executives (AEs) to close.
Your role is to bring in qualified, relevant leads that convert, not filler that wastes time. You’ll be critical to helping us scale BUIDL AI adoption across Web3, AI, developer tools, and innovation ecosystems.
What You’ll DoGenerate Leads: Identify and reach out to companies, foundations, and dev communities interested in hackathons or open innovation programs.
Qualify Rigorously: Use a structured framework to assess intent, budget, timing, and fit — ensuring only real opportunities reach the AEs.
Leverage Networks: Tap into existing contacts, events, and industry channels to find promising entry points.
Set Up Meetings: Schedule and prepare warm, high-context handoffs between qualified leads and our AEs.
Track Progress: Maintain CRM hygiene and report on KPIs (meetings booked, SQLs generated, conversions).
Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Provide feedback to sales, marketing, and product on ICP evolution and lead quality.
2+ years of experience in business development, sales, or partnerships — ideally in SaaS, developer tools, or innovation ecosystems.
Strong grasp of outbound outreach and qualification processes
Exceptional communication and writing skills for cold outreach and follow-ups.
Self-starter mindset with a bias toward action, iteration, and improvement.
Prior experience selling SaaS or platform products to developers or ecosystem teams
Technical understanding of Web3 ecosystems or experience working in crypto/AI
Based in or near New York or San Francisco, and able to attend occasional in-person events
