Role Description: Business Development Representative Role Purpose: 

Wasabi’s Business Development Representative (BDR) is a true hunter, focused on engaging new prospects and introducing them to a faster, more secure, and cost-effective approach to cloud storage. In this role, you’ll help organizations protect their data backups and archives using Wasabi’s hot cloud storage.

You’ll connect with prospects who are open to a modern alternative to AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud, as well as those exploring hybrid solutions that complement their on-premises storage. You’ll receive comprehensive training, marketing-qualified leads, and strong enablement resources to help you confidently and effectively drive the Wasabi conversation.

Your success will be measured by your ability to uncover customer needs, qualify buying timelines, and convert prospects into sales-qualified meetings or free trials.

Responsibilities:
    • Engage warm inbound leads from webinars, events, partners, and self-generated research.
    • Qualify prospects by identifying pain points, use cases, and cloud storage requirements.
    • Schedule meetings and smoothly hand off qualified opportunities to Enterprise, Commercial, Channel, or Inside Sales teams.
    • Execute targeted outbound campaigns to qualify leads and pass them to sales teams or partners.
    • Maintain accurate activity tracking and lead details in Wasabi’s CRM system.
    • Partner with Marketing through regular feedback sessions to improve campaign effectiveness and results.
Requirements:
    • 3+ years of experience as a Technology BDR or SDR; storage experience is a plus.
    • Comfortable with cold calling and proactive outreach.
    • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and excited by a fast-paced start-up environment.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Open to feedback and continuous improvement.
    • Experience using HubSpot, Salesforce, Ample Market or similar sales and marketing tools.
    • Disciplined in planning, goal setting, and execution.
    • Bachelor’s degree.
