We're looking for our next Business Development Manager who brings together a foundation in business development / corporate sales and a passion for expanding our impact in the enterprise learning space.
As a Business Development Manager, you will be the driving force behind our corporate training initiatives, responsible for building and managing relationships with corporate clients, developing new business opportunities, and ensuring exceptional client experiences. We're looking for a hands-on self-starter who can wear multiple hats - from responding to inbound inquiries to closing deals, from creating compelling sales collateral to building scalable internal systems.

You bring deep curiosity about AI and its applications in the corporate world. You also understand that in startups we wear multiple hats, and no task is too small.
This position reports to the COO.
Here's what you'll do:
- Respond to all inbound corporate training inquiries and qualify potential opportunities.
- Using AI assistance, research and identify potential corporate leads across industries, and reach out if appropriate.
- Develop and manage sales channels to generate consistent pipeline growth.
- In collaboration with the Marketing team, create compelling B2B sales collateral, including pitch decks, case studies, and webpage copy.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for existing corporate clients, managing relationships to ensure satisfaction, retention and identify expansion opportunities.
- Set up, develop and optimize internal systems, building on existing infrastructure (CRM, tracking, reporting, etc.).
- Manage and close deals independently. You should be available for occasional early morning or late evening calls to accommodate international clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create content, processes and AI-powered solutions for scalable support of corporate clients.
- Act as the voice of corporate clients internally, gathering feedback and insights to inform platform development and feature prioritization alongside the Product and Engineering teams.
Here are the skills you should have:
- AI fluency, ability to code (with AI assistance ok): Strong conceptual understanding of AI trends and technologies, or the ability to develop this knowledge very quickly. Familiarity and experience with AI-powered tools such as Claude Code or Cursor, having built or prototyped software for personal or professional use.
- Strong organizational and systems thinking: Familiarity with large organizations, enterprise sales processes, and complex operational systems.
- Excellent communication skills: Outstanding written and spoken English with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences (technical and non-technical). A natural relationship-builder who can connect with clients, understand their needs, and build trust.
- Entrepreneurial mindset: Self-starter who is willing to do whatever it takes to get things done and thrives in ambiguity and a fast-paced startup environment.
- Project management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive them to completion.
- Experience: 5 or more years or work experience, of which at least 3 in roles involving inter-organizational relationship building, such as partnerships, business development, sales, consulting, or similar functions.

- Previous sales or business development experience, particularly in B2B SaaS, education technology, or corporate training.
- Experience selling training and educational solutions into enterprise clients.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales automation tools.
- Background in customer success or account management roles.
- Technical background or coding experience.
