Business Development Manager:

Advantest Test Solutions, Inc. (ATS) is looking for a Business Development Manager.  This position will be responsible for working with our sales account teams to promote ATS System Level Test and Burn-in Test products and services to specific targeted customers and market segments.  The Business Development Manager serves as the technical and commercial liaison between the ATS business unit and the customer account teams.  Primary duties include (but are not limited to) managing the Quote-to-Cash process for the assigned customer while meeting sales and profitability targets.  The Business Development Manager will collect new requirements from customers to drive new product development with ATS engineering.  This is a customer-facing position which requires domestic and international travel. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work with field account sales and service teams to put together compelling and competitive sales strategies, pricing and execution plans.
  • Develop and present customer value propositions and customer-specific proposals.
  • Set target account forecasts and penetration plans.
  • Define and set model sales/pricing/profit goals by account.
  • Develop and provide competitive and profitable quotations.
  • Work in partnership with product management, marketing and sales teams to create exposure and drive new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with engineering and program management to drive new features and requirements for future semiconductor test products.
  • Research prospective accounts in targeted markets, pursue leads and follow through to a successful agreement.
  • Occasionally participate in tradeshows & industry seminars to promote ATS’ semiconductor test products and market position.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications

Requirements, Education & Skills:

  • BS Degree in Engineering.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of back-end semiconductor test, target markets and key suppliers’ offerings.
  • Experience selling or supporting semiconductor capital equipment.
  • Ability to articulate ATS’ value proposition through a data driven, systematic construction of an ROI proposal.
  • Excellent communication in English. Fluency in Mandarin or Japanese is a bonus.
  • Extremely proactive and highly organized with proven ability to multi-task in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated skills in advanced planning and win-win negotiation in diverse cultures.
  • This is an in-office position in Lake Forest, CA.
  • Ability to travel internationally.  Domestic and international travel will be required.
