You will help shape pipeline strategy, build team culture, and develop the next generation of sales talent.

As a Business Development Manager, you’ll manage and mentor a team of BDRs focused on outbound prospecting and pipeline generation. What you'll do:

  • Hire, onboard, and lead a team of high-performing Business Development Representatives
  • Drive strategic outbound campaigns across key verticals to expand our presence in the Fortune 500
  • Coach team members on best practices for prospecting, messaging, and qualification
  • Partner with Sales Leadership to align on ICP, lead scoring, and opportunity handoff
  • Analyze team performance metrics and implement scalable processes for growth
  • Lead weekly pipeline reviews, team meetings, and ongoing training sessions
  • Create an environment of continuous learning, experimentation, and high performance
  • Stay close to the market and share feedback from the field to improve messaging and go-to-market strategy

About you:

  • 2–4 years of experience managing or mentoring early-career sellers, ideally in a SaaS or enterprise tech environment
  • Demonstrated success in building and scaling pipeline through outbound sales motions
  • A coach at heart who is energized by helping others grow and succeed
  • Deep understanding of the enterprise buyer journey and how to navigate white space
  • Highly collaborative, with strong cross-functional communication skills
  • Driven, resourceful, and adaptable in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
  • Passionate about people development, career growth, and team building
  • Technically curious with a desire to understand and represent innovative products
  • Experience with Salesforce and modern sales engagement tools (e.g., Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator)

US Benefits:

  • Flexible PTO: Because life is better when you actually live it!
  • Instabreak Fridays: Enjoy 6 company-wide Friday breaks scheduled throughout the year, giving you long weekends to relax and recharge!
  • Comprehensive Coverage: Top-notch medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) with Matching: We’ve got your back for a secure future.
  • Parental Leave & Fertility Benefits: Supporting you in growing your family, your way.
  • Therapy Sessions Covered: Mental health matters— 10 free sessions through Samata Health.
  • Wellness Stipend: For gym memberships, fitness tech, or whatever keeps you thriving.
  • Lunch on Us: Enjoy a lunch credit when you're in the office.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
