The Business Development Manager, Cruise Ship & Theme Park Global Lead position will lead the strategy, planning and execution for business development of this vertical world-wide. This person will be responsible for generating new business through identifying and building new customer relationships, defining market segmentation and targets, as well as implementing the appropriate sales coverage model to support growth strategies. This role will be responsible for growing sales and profitability by focusing on key objectives. This person will be leading the BD Regional Managers - Cruise Ship & Theme Park for sales methodology as it relates to the market vertical.

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing strategy, implementation and execution of initiatives accelerating sales growth and develop new businesses through collaboration with the regional sales managers and partnership with key certified providers and end user clients.

  • Responsible for sales forecast and growth target for the vertical market Worldwide, developed in collaboration with the regional sales teams and company’s management.

  • Responsible for defining OKRs for the market vertical as it relates to the department and group level objectives.

  • Drive sales process leadership from contact through strategy, proposal, presentation & successful conclusion for the market vertical.

  • Build a robust opportunity pipeline and establish long-term business relationships and strategic relevance with selected high revenue/growth customers.

  • Evaluate profitability and recommend potential alternative market approaches to improve profitability and distribution.

  • Identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of our sales programs and processes through best practice sharing, process improvement, and effective analytics. Ensure consistency in field sales process/ lead management, and other activities.

  • Evaluate and monitor competitive activities and develop reliable market data. Recommend strategy defenses, offenses, and tactics for the company to stay ahead of competition and gain new market share.

  • Partner with Application & Marketing on launch of new products, services, programs to satisfy market demand and take advantage of new market opportunities. Act as liaison to Marketing, Sales, Application & Finance departments towards ensuring proper build out of new business development initiatives.

  • Conduct field visits and business reviews. Communicate with Management through visit reports, market analysis, and progress

  • Attend tradeshows dedicated to the market vertical, represent the brand through thought leadership and industry associations events.

Skills & Experience:   

  • Bachelor’s Degree in sales/marketing/business preferred  

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience with A/V equipment or High Technology Systems sales with proven successful track record  

  • Experience in business development 

  • Strong relationships and network with key market stakeholders 

  • Experience with premium loudspeaker sales preferred  

  • Experience with CRM and key opportunities management processes  

  • Candidate must be energetic, self-motivated and possess a desire to win  

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills  

  • Outstanding organization and follow-up skills
