Reports to: Marketing Lead – Outreach & Regional Awareness

Do you have a passion for building relationships, driving referrals, and making a direct impact on families in need?

We are looking for a Business Development Manager who will focus on fostering strong connections with families and Regional Center case managers to increase awareness and drive referrals for NeuroNav's transformative services. This role is pivotal in supporting our mission to empower families and individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them discover the life-changing resources that NeuroNav provides.

At NeuroNav, we believe that everyone, regardless of disability, deserves the opportunity to shape their own story and make choices that improve their quality of life. We specialize in helping families navigate California’s Self-Determination program, which allows more personalized and flexible access to state resources. As we continue to grow, we need a strategic, empathetic, and results-driven Business Development Manager who can actively follow up with families and build trust with Regional Center case managers to increase referrals and outreach efforts.

What You’ll Do:

  • Follow Up with Families: Actively engage with families who have expressed interest in NeuroNav's services via email and call campaigns, providing clear and helpful information to guide them through the process of enrolling and accessing the Self-Determination program.

  • Build Relationships with Regional Center Case Managers: Establish and nurture ongoing relationships with Regional Center case managers, social workers, and service coordinators to facilitate referrals and drive awareness of NeuroNav’s offerings.

  • Referral Strategy: Work closely with the Marketing Lead to execute referral programs and ensure case managers are well-informed about how NeuroNav can support their clients in achieving their goals through the Self-Determination Program.

  • Educational Outreach: Conduct one-on-one and group outreach to educate Regional Center teams on the value of NeuroNav’s services, ensuring they understand the benefits for families and the process of referring to NeuroNav.

  • Lead Tracking & Reporting: Manage and track leads from both families and Regional Centers, ensuring timely follow-ups and managing the full referral process. Maintain CRM systems to document progress and ensure no opportunity is missed.

  • Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with the Marketing and Care Management teams to ensure seamless communication and execution of family referrals. Collaborate with other team members to refine processes, improve the referral pipeline, and optimize outreach strategies.

  • Attend Meetings & Events: Participate in both virtual and in-person meetings with Regional Center teams and families, representing NeuroNav at relevant events to build awareness and trust within the community.

  • Performance Tracking: Track and report on key performance metrics such as the number of referrals, conversion rates, and relationship-building success with case managers. Use data to inform future outreach strategies and improve outcomes.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Relationship-Building Skills: Proven ability to build strong, trust-based relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including families, case managers, and community-based organizations.

  • Sales/Business Development Experience: At least 2 years of experience in business development, sales, or a customer-facing role with a focus on relationship management and driving referrals or partnerships.

  • Familiarity with Developmental Disabilities Ecosystem: Experience working with Regional Centers, social workers, or case managers in the developmental disabilities space is highly desirable, or the ability to quickly learn the nuances of this ecosystem.

  • Clear Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex programs and services in a clear and compassionate manner.

  • Self-Directed & Motivated: Ability to work independently, manage your time efficiently, and follow through on tasks while being part of a remote team.

  • CRM & Tracking Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) for lead management and tracking, and an understanding of how to maintain accurate records for reporting and follow-up.

  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus: A strong advantage for building relationships with diverse communities.

What You’ll Get:

  • Remote-first role – Ability to work from anywhere, offering flexibility and work-life balance.

  • Comprehensive benefits package – Health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plan, and more.

  • Paid Time Off (PTO) – 14 days per year, plus 7 sick or flex days.

  • Ongoing learning & development – Opportunities for personal and professional growth.

  • Annual company retreat – Join the team for a retreat that strengthens our bonds and celebrates our success.

If you're passionate about relationship-building and helping families access life-changing resources, this is the role for you. Apply now and help us make a real difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities!

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
