As a business development manager, factoring, you actively contribute to cash flow cycle solutions for businesses served by Desjardins Business Services distribution networks. You’ll join a dynamic Senior Management Division that oversees several specialized programs and is made up of multidisciplinary experts who meet the various needs of businesses. You will be responsible for leading business development efforts within the business line to generate sales. In close collaboration with the distribution network, you'll use all the tools at your disposal to create the right conditions for integrating new factoring facilities. Within a small, agile and energetic team, you'll be able to adapt to a constantly changing environment and support your colleagues in their activities. More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Establish and maintain personalized business relationships with major clients and with internal distribution channels.

  • Analyze the prospect files to assess their eligibility and determine whether the conditions are right for sketching out an offer.

  • Draw up the offer and define the conditions for the factoring facility (pricing, guarantees, specific conditions, etc.).

  • Negotiate conditions with members and clients.

  • Give presentations and training sessions on the product for the Business Services Executive Division sectors that have factoring needs.

  • Participate in internal and external outreach activities.

  • Roll out development strategies to reach objectives. 

  • Collaborate with team members and support them in the business line's activities.

  • Track, document and present the pipeline development to management and the team.

What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

  • A minimum of eight years of relevant experience

  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

  • Strong communication skills in both French and English, both oral and written due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with both French-speaking and English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
