As a part of the global industrial organization Marmon Holdings—which is backed by Berkshire Hathaway—you’ll be doing things that matter, leading at every level, and winning a better way. We’re committed to making a positive impact on the world, providing you with diverse learning and working opportunities, and fostering a culture where everyone’s empowered to be their best.

Company Overview

Founded in 1925 and headquartered in Eagan, Minnesota, EcoWater Systems LLC is a global leader in highly engineered, in-home water softening and drinking water solutions. With two U.S.-based manufacturing facilities in Mississippi, EcoWater combines nearly a century of expertise with advanced innovation to deliver trusted water quality solutions to households around the world.

EcoWater has been part of Marmon Holdings, Inc. since 1981 and operates within its Water Group. Marmon is a Berkshire Hathaway company comprising 11 industry-focused groups and more than 120 autonomous businesses with over 30,000 employees worldwide. Together, they generate approximately $12 billion in annual revenue and serve diverse global markets across water, medical, foodservice, transportation, industrial, and retail sectors.

In North America, EcoWater goes to market through four channels: an independent dealer network, national retail partnerships, a wholesale/trade business, and a growing direct-to-consumer e-commerce platform—enabling broad market reach while maintaining strong local relationships and service excellence.

General Overview

The EcoWater Dealer network includes more than 200 independently owned and operated water treatment businesses across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. Under exclusive agreements, these Dealers sell, install, and service EcoWater’s residential and commercial point-of-use (POU) and point-of-entry (POE) solutions within their local markets. Many are multi-generational businesses recognized as trusted water experts in their communities. EcoWater supports its Dealers through product training, marketing programs, and lead generation initiatives, including national retail partnerships such as Costco, where performance standards are required.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
