Circle is looking for a Business Development Manager to lead our partnerships with DeFi-native market makers and trading firms. You'll own the full lifecycle of strategic liquidity partnerships-from deal sourcing and structuring to execution and ongoing relationship management-focused on scaling adoption of USDC and Circle's infrastructure across DeFi.
What you'll work on:
- Lead partnerships with top DeFi trading firms, driving liquidity and adoption of Circle products.
- Work hand in hand with Circle's Ecosystem Partnership team to identify the right liquidity problem solves for specific venues that Circle intends to work with.
- Structure and execute market making and liquidity deals across spot and perpetual venues (AMMs, DEXs, aggregators, etc.).
- Manage high-value relationships with DeFi-native and CEX-connected market makers.
- Monitor DeFi market trends, identify emerging venues and protocols worth engaging.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, legal, and operations to close and activate deals.
- Operate autonomously with strong ownership over partner strategy and execution.
What you'll bring to Circle:
Core Requirements:
- 3-5 years in BD/partnerships in crypto-preferably at a DEX or DeFi protocol, or a CEX with strong DeFi counterparty relationships.
- Strong understanding of DeFi liquidity dynamics, stablecoins, and both spot and perps markets.
- A strong network of trading firms active in DeFi.
- Proven ability to lead deals end-to-end with minimal oversight in a global corporation.
- Strong communication, written skills, and ability to independently model deal economics and formulate SLAs specific to a deal.
- Experience/familiarity with Slack, Apple MacOS and GSuite.
- Familiarity with generative AI models (ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) and crafting effective prompts
Preferred Requirements:
- Exposure to FX or stablecoin-based FX markets.
- Experience working directly with DAO treasuries or DeFi governance.
- Additional language skills are a plus
