Position Overview

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, developing new client relationships, and expanding IRPROS’ presence in the industrial refrigeration market.

This role focuses on identifying and securing opportunities across food & beverage, cold storage, and industrial sectors while collaborating with engineering, construction, and service teams to deliver tailored, high-value solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities in industrial refrigeration markets
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of projects and service contracts
  • Develop and present proposals, bids, and client presentations
  • Establish and grow long-term relationships with clients, consultants, and industry partners
  • Serve as the primary contact for key accounts
  • Understand client needs and recommend customized solutions across construction, service, and maintenance
  • Support clients with project planning, budgeting, and technical insight
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities
  • Represent IRPROS at trade shows, events, and networking functions
  • Collaborate with marketing to support brand growth and lead generation
  • Identify and develop strategic partnerships
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to overall revenue growth
  • Track pipeline activity, forecasts, and performance metrics
  • Maintain accurate CRM reporting and data management
Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (preferred, not required)
  • 5+ years of experience in business development or sales within industrial refrigeration, HVAC, or mechanical services
  • Proven track record of building accounts and exceeding sales goals
  • Strong technical understanding of ammonia and/or CO₂ systems (or ability to learn quickly)
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Experience with CRM/ERP systems
  • Willingness to travel as needed
