Job Description

Fuel is a digital agency with a focus on Youth Engagement, helping global brands reach kids, tweens, teens, and young adults with branded entertainment and digital marketing experiences for the mobile and social era. Fuel was named by iMedia as one of 25 Agencies to Watch in 2012 alongside companies such as 360i and 72 and Sunny and works with clients including McDonald’s, Warner Bros, Lucasfilm, Nokia, and Dreamworks.

We're expanding and are seeking a dynamic, energetic and highly creative Business Development Director, for our L.A. office in Culver City, who brings a wealth of proven experience and an active industry network.

Qualifications

Managing the Process

  • Working closely with our Youth Agency team, you will plan, develop, implement and manage contact and relationship building initiatives with targeted New Business clients in key strategic markets by:
  • Ongoing communication with target clients and networking and relationship building efforts
  • Identification of high potential New Business opportunities via comprehensive strategic analysis of potential client needs across the assigned Target List
  • Manage new business relationships from cold introductions through to pitch presentations
  • Actively engage prospects and ensure strong relationships and follow-up throughout the prospect organization and through the business development process
  • Seek pitch presentation opportunities through a wide network of relevant prospects

Delivering the Revenue

  • Achieving targeted annual revenue delivery against all assigned clients and new business targets
  • Seeking out new business opportunities both within assigned accounts (i.e. new projects) and other new client opportunities as identified and directed

Spreading the Word

  • Evangelizing the power of interactive marketing campaigns by working with Fuel's senior team to ensure that all targeted clients are fully aware of the key ROI benefits of Fuel's digital marketing services and the rapidly evolving opportunities for effective on-line branded entertainment strategies.

Skills & Experience

  • 5-10 years of proven track record of sales/business development success
  • Should be assertive, high energy, independent, self-motivated, results oriented and possess a strong sense of urgency
  • Demonstrated ability in problem solving and negotiation with special emphasis on closing the sale
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task in a deadline driven environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including formal presentations before both small and large groups
  • Travel within North America is required
