Ciklum is looking for a Business Development Director (Hi-Tech) to join our team full-time in the US.

We are a custom product engineering company that supports both multinational organizations and scaling startups to solve their most complex business challenges. With a global team of over 4,000 highly skilled developers, consultants, analysts and product owners, we engineer technology that redefines industries and shapes the way people live.

About the role:

As a Business Development Director (Hi-Tech), become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.

Ciklum is the AI-acceleration and legacy-modernization partner for mid-to-large enterprises. Our Hi-Tech sector covers SaaS, software platforms, and product companies in the US market. We are hiring a Business Development Manager to own the front-end of the sector pipeline — build it, qualify it, and progress it to signed engagements — in partnership with delivery, presales, and the sector lead.

Responsibilities:

  • Build new-logo pipeline within the Hi-Tech sector ICP
  • Carry qualified opportunities from intro → discovery → proposal → close
  • Expand existing Hi-Tech accounts by identifying whitespace and partnering with delivery on follow-on engagements
  • Stay current on the competitive landscape and feed sector intelligence back to leadership

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of enterprise services / digital engineering / consulting sales in the US Hi-Tech / SaaS market
  • Demonstrated ability to build pipeline through outbound, account research, and trusted-advisor positioning
  • Ability to add immediate value to the pipeline - warm prospects, active conversations, or named accounts you can begin progressing in the first 30–60 days, not a 6-month ramp before first qualified opportunity
  • Comfort with technical buyers (CTOs, VPs of Engineering, Heads of Platform / Data) and ability to hold a credible conversation on AI, modernization, and delivery economics
  • Process discipline: account planning, pipeline hygiene, accurate forecasting, CRM rigor
  • Strong written communication — drafts a credible first-touch email or proposal narrative without rework

Desirable:

  • Background selling AI / data-platform engineering services, legacy modernization, or outcome-based engagements
  • Existing network in the Hi-Tech vertical — relationships are an asset and a meaningful accelerator on top of the core qualifications above

What`s in it for you?

  • Strong community: Work alongside top professionals in a friendly, open-door environment
  • Growth focus: Take on large-scale projects with a global impact and expand your expertise
  • Tailored learning: Boost your skills with internal events (meetups, conferences, workshops), Udemy access, language courses, and company-paid certifications
  • Endless opportunities: Explore diverse domains through internal mobility, finding the best fit to gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies
  • Care: Healthcare, Basic Life Insurance, Short and Long-term disability insurance according to the Company’s Benefit Plans

About us:

At Ciklum, we are always exploring innovations, empowering each other to achieve more, and engineering solutions that matter. With us, you’ll work with cutting-edge technologies, contribute to impactful projects, and be part of a One Team culture that values collaboration and progress. In the US, Ciklum is growing fast—inviting experienced professionals to lead digital transformation alongside Fortune 500 clients. Be part of a company where innovation and impact go hand in hand.

Explore, empower, engineer with Ciklum!

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
