About Us

Terrabis is a leading privately held cannabis company with a bold growth strategy for 2026. Operating in both wholesale and retail, we’re at the forefront of the industry, setting new standards, and pushing boundaries. Join us in shaping the future of cannabis.  We don’t just follow trends; we set them.

Position Summary

We are looking for a Junior Business Development Analyst who is hungry, ambitious, and ready to get their hands dirty. This is not a "sit back and watch" internship; this is a role for a grinder who wants to learn the cannabis industry from the ground up.

You will wear many hats. One hour you might be deep in spreadsheets analyzing market demographics, and the next you’ll be on the phone negotiating with a landlord or navigating complex zoning laws with a city clerk. If you are looking for a clear 9-to-5 with a rigid structure, this isn't for you. If you want to build a career in one of the fastest-growing industries in the world, keep reading.

What You’ll Do (The "Little Bit of Everything")
  • Relentless Outreach: You will cold-call and email potential landlords and commercial real estate brokers to identify viable properties for dispensaries or wholesale sites.
  • Regulatory Detective Work: Call municipalities and city planning offices to verify zoning maps, understand setbacks, and get clarity on local cannabis ordinances.
  • Market Research: Analyze new markets for expansion. Who are the competitors? What is the population density? Is the local government friendly to cannabis?
  • Pipeline Management: Keep our CRM organized. Track every lead, every call, and every "maybe" until it becomes a "yes" or a "no."
  • Ad-Hoc Support: Assist senior leadership with pitch decks, travel logistics, or administrative tasks as we scale.
Who You Are
  • You have "Grit": You don’t take "no" personally. You see rejection as just a step toward a "yes."
  • You are a Chameleon: You can speak professionally to a city mayor in the morning and casually to a contractor or landlord in the afternoon.
  • You are Curious: You don’t wait to be told what to do. If you don’t understand a zoning law, you Google it, you call someone, and you figure it out.
  • Detail-Oriented: In cannabis, one missed checkbox on an application can cost us a license. You sweat the small stuff.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in sales, real estate, business development, or a research-heavy role.
  • Flexibility on ability to travel (sometimes with little notice)
  • Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (you can organize data quickly).
  • Excellent phone manner—you aren't afraid to pick up the phone.
  • Genuine interest in the cannabis industry (regulatory knowledge is a plus, but willingness to learn is mandatory).
What We Offer
  • Competitive base salary + Bonus.
  • Direct mentorship from successful entrepreneurs
  • The opportunity to grow into a senior BD or Operations role.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
