Overview
We are seeking a Business Development Analyst to join our team to support an upstream Oil & Gas client. This role will play a pivotal role in supporting the CCUS Business Development (BD) function. This position will act as a key partner to the BD team, ensuring seamless execution of market analysis, pitch materials, and proposal development, while also keeping the BD funnel organized and supporting commercial initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive insights.
- Develop and design PowerPoint pitch decks, proposals, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain and organize the BD team’s funnel, ensuring accurate tracking of opportunities and progress.
- Collaborate with the commercial team to support deal execution and client engagement.
- Serve as a strategic partner to the VP of BD, helping to prioritize initiatives, manage workflows, and fill operational gaps.
- Provide thoughtful input and organizational finesse to strengthen BD processes and outcomes.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in business development, commercial strategy, or related roles.
- Proven ability to work hard, follow through, and deliver results with dedication.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and thoughtful, with strong interpersonal finesse.
- Prior experience in upstream Oil & Gas (OG) is required; CCUS experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Experience working with Salesforce is required.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in PowerPoint and proposal writing.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, filling gaps and supporting multiple priorities.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree is required preferably in Business Administration, Marketing, or Finance
- MBA is preferred
Compensation
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado, Sand Cherry Associates is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. This is a longer term consulting engagement, with an expected 6 months+ duration. This role has an annual salary range of $100,000 - $115,000. Years of experience, level of education, geographic location, unique skills/qualifications for the specific role and potential certifications can be key factors in the final compensation for this role.
