Job Description SummaryThe Business Developer - GridBeats Subject Matter Expert is an experienced professional in the Electrical Utilities area with experience in Protection, Automation, Control and Monitoring Solutions that include relays, controllers, PMUs, SCADA systems and network devices. This position will report to the LAM Gridbeats Growth Leader and will responsible to support the ITO organization on the business development strategy for the software-based innovative solutions for grid digitalization, bringing experience to execute business objectives, and having the capability to deliver short-term and long-term business results.

Job DescriptionEssential Responsibilities

Sustainable growth for Digital Substations, Asset Management, Substation Monitoring, Autonomous Distribution and Cybersecurity portfolio.

  • Provide technical expertise and solutions for the ITO process, influencing customers to adopt the GridBeats portfolio, generating demand, performing technical analysis of specifications, leading value proposition discussions, defining scope, optimizing solutions, and supporting Tendering and Commercial teams;
  • Act as a solution architect for the solutions offered;
  • Develop deep technical knowledge and apply expertise to execute business strategies, with strong understanding of key drivers and delivering both technical and cost-effective value to customers;
  • Lead business development action plans, focusing on expanding the GridBeats portfolio, obtaining solutions approvals, driving new solution adoption, and increasing market share through customer "spec-in" activities;
  • Build strong technical relationships with customers and partners, delivering technical presentations, trainings, system integration support, proof-of-concept projects, and gathering feedback to enhance the GE offering;
  • Together with sales team, prospect and articulate opportunities in the assigned portfolio. Keep a detailed and updated project pipeline for LAM. Support sales for providing, committing, and delivering orders forecasts for LAM;
  • Be the technical link between the LAM region and the GridBeats Global Product Line, bringing intelligence to support the portfolio strategy for LAM, about competitors, market trends, new products needed, support needed, resolution of problems that require the Global team involvement;
  • Responsible for the development of new leads in the Region in segments like Generation, Transmission, Distribution, Mining, Railways and Oil & Gas;
  • Develop and cultivate long-term relationships at all levels of customer organizations and within GE.

 

Role Summary/Purpose

  • Be part of the Subject Matter Experts team who technically promote and grow GridBeats solutions together with the GridBeats Growth Leader and Sales Team.

 

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Degree in electronic or electrical engineering, control & autoation engineering, or related degree;
  • Experience in Application Engineering for Substation Protection, Automation and Control Systems, communication protocols;
  • Basic knowleddge on Cybersecurity for OT and Asset Management solutions;
  • Deep knowledge on IEC61850 (Station and Process Bus) standard, Digital Control Systems and and ability to communicate clearly on these topics.
  • Ability and willingness to travel more than 30% of the time.
  • Fluent in English;
  • Native in Portuguese or Spanish.
