Description
We’re looking for a Business Data Analyst Intern to support data analysis projects focused on our career training and impact business units. This role will work with tools such as SQL, Excel, and Tableau to evaluate application and origination data, providing insights that drive decisions in funnel optimization, loan product development, and school partner strategy.
Responsibilities
- Analyze data related to career training and impact loan applications and originations to identify trends and support strategic business decisions
- Use SQL to query large datasets and generate reports and insights
- Build dashboards and visualizations in Tableau to communicate findings to stakeholders
- Leverage Excel for data analysis and ad hoc reporting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data needs across departments
- Present insights in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Assist in developing metrics and KPIs to track performance of loan funnels and partner programs
- Must be available to work for at least 8 hours per week during business hours, with the capability to work in the San Diego office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Statistics, Business Analytics, Data Science, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- At least 1 year of experience using a querying language such as SQL
- At least 1 year of experience using Microsoft Excel
- At least 1 year of experience using Microsoft PowerPoint
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Looker
- Experience with SAS or similar statistical tools is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to ask for help and collaborate effectively across departments
- Self-starter who is comfortable working independently and managing time effectively
Pay is $19.00 - $25.00/hr DOE
