Job Description

Overview:
We are seeking a highly capable Salesforce Business Analyst with proven expertise in Salesforce Sales Cloud and Account Engagement (formerly Pardot). This role is ideal for someone who combines strong technical Salesforce administration skills with a deep understanding of CRM systems and marketing automation—plus the ability to communicate effectively across teams.

The successful candidate will collaborate with marketing, sales, and operations to translate business requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions that align with organizational goals and drive growth. A key focus of this role is ensuring seamless integration, automation, and data flow between Salesforce and Account Engagement to support lead management, sales enablement, and marketing campaigns.

Key Deliverables:

  • Configure and manage Salesforce Sales Cloud to support the full sales lifecycle—from lead generation to opportunity close and post-sale follow-up.
  • Create and maintain custom objects, fields, record types, validation rules, approval processes, and page layouts to reflect business operations.
  • Implement and optimize opportunity management, including deal stages, sales paths, and automations to improve efficiency and visibility.
  • Build and maintain reports and dashboards for real-time visibility into sales performance, activities, pipeline health, and quota attainment.
  • Enhance user experience and adoption through training, documentation, and iterative system enhancements based on user feedback.
  • Partner with IT or integration teams to connect Sales Cloud with other business systems.
  • Administer Account Engagement (Pardot), including segmentation, automation rules, dynamic content, lead scoring & grading, and engagement programs.
  • Develop and launch multi-touch nurture programs, form handlers, landing pages, and email campaigns in collaboration with marketing.
  • Ensure accurate campaign attribution and lead tracking using Connected Campaigns, UTM parameters, and B2B Marketing Analytics dashboards.
  • Collaborate with marketing to measure and report on campaign performance metrics (e.g., email engagement, conversion rates, Marketing/Sales Qualified Lead rates).
  • Maintain integration health between Account Engagement and Sales Cloud, including data sync settings, field mappings, and Marketing Data Sharing rules.
  • Proactively identify and resolve data sync issues, form errors, and campaign tracking discrepancies to ensure data accuracy and performance.
  • Stay current with platform updates and best practices around email deliverability, GDPR compliance, and list management.

What You Bring:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in both Sales Cloud and Account Engagement (Pardot), with a focus on administration, analysis, and process optimization.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Information Systems, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience.
  • Salesforce Certifications: Salesforce Certified Administrator, Business Analyst, and Account Engagement Specialist.
  • Strong understanding of sales methodologies and marketing funnel strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects, gather and analyze requirements, and implement scalable, aligned solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce Flow Builder to automate sales and marketing processes.
  • Experience integrating third-party tools via API connectors (e.g., Google Analytics) to enhance tracking, reporting, and automation.
  • Working knowledge of B2B Marketing Analytics (B2BMA), including custom datasets and dashboards.
  • Background in CRM data hygiene, duplicate management, and governance best practices.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive compensation
  • Base Salary Range: $85,000 - $100,000
  • Annual Bonus Potential: 15%
  • Excellent extended medical, dental and vision benefits beginning day 1
  • 401(k) matching, vesting begins day 1
  • Career development programs
  • Charitable donation matching
  • Paid Volunteer Hours
  • Paid parental leave
  • Family planning assistance including IVF, surrogacy and adoptions options
  • Wellness and mental health resources
  • Pet insurance offering
  • A culture based on our values of Passion, Integrity and Community

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
