VetsEZ is seeking a Business Analyst to be a part of a remote team supporting a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) project. The Business Analyst must have experience creating work breakdown structures and development of program schedules and assigning software development team personnel to tasks. An ideal candidate will have experience engaging with business stakeholders, collecting, and evaluating business needs and processes.
The candidate must reside within the continental US.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team and engage in all aspects of SAFe Agile software development, primarily for planning and design.
- Identify, resolve project issues and analyze complex business problems and determine an IT solution.
- Understanding both Behavior-Driven and Test-Driven development.
- Collaborate with Developers and UX/UI designers to help translate visual concepts into functional online experiences.
- Coordinate documentation updates, team communications, and conduct post-project evaluation.
- Define objectives and scope of business systems. Gather and analyze business data and user needs.
- Provide recommendations on hardware and software procurement to support client's business goals.
- Work closely with managers and end users to determine the best IT solution.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with different team members and stakeholders.
- Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and ensure the success of the project.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, a technical discipline, or any other relevant discipline is required.
- Minimum of 8 years of professional analyst experience.
- Experience in data analytics and programming.
- Experience designing basic UX/UI with wireframes, ability to present wireframes to clients and explain the layout and functionality.
- ServiceNow and Atlassian JIRA application experience.
- Experience conducting research and analysis and experience with requirements elaboration and analysis.
- Certifications in business analysis or Agile methodologies (e.g., CBAP, IIBA, Certified SAFe Practitioner).
- Experience teaching processes and tools to new users.
- Expert level in Microsoft Office Applications, including Project.
- Proficiency with Microsoft tool suite, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio & Project
- Excellent verbal and written communication including effective documentation skills.
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience with SAFe/Agile, Certified SAFe Practitioner certification is preferred.
- Experience with the VA or other Government agencies.
- Ability to obtain government clearance.
