Job Description

We are seeking a Business Analyst - MDM to support the accuracy, consistency and integrity of master data across the organization. In this role, you will maintain and enhance master data processes, ensuring data quality and alignment with Lakeshore’s data governance standards. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams to support data needs, improve workflows and contribute to scalable master data management practices. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, identifying opportunities for improvement and helping teams operate more efficiently through reliable, well-managed information.

A day on the job looks like this:

  • Maintaining and updating master data in SAP (Fiori and GUI), including product, customer, vendor and related records, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Validating and auditing data to uphold quality standards and prevent downstream reporting or operational issues
  • Applying and reinforcing data governance standards, while identifying opportunities to enhance processes as business needs evolve
  • Supporting reporting and analysis by extracting and preparing data from SAP and Power BI using established procedures
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, resolve data issues and improve workflows
  • Managing and prioritizing Jira tickets, providing clear and timely updates to stakeholders
  • Contributing to documentation, templates and process improvements to support scalable and efficient MDM operations

Qualifications

Got the skills and experience? Here’s what we’re looking for:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or a related field
  • 4+ years of relevant experience with 2+ years in a similar role focused on data, business analysis or master data management
  • Experience working with SAP (Winshuttle, MDG, ERP, Fiori or GUI) in a data-focused capacity
  • Strong attention to detail with hands-on experience in data validation, cleansing and quality management
  • Experience using tools such as Excel and Jira, ServiceNow, Zendesk (or similar ticketing systems) to manage data and workflows
  • Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines and work independently with guidance

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting data governance practices and standards
  • Familiarity with data mapping, transformation and integration across systems
  • Exposure to reporting tools such as Power BI or data lake environments
  • Experience documenting processes, workflows and data definitions

What Sets You Apart

  • Thoughtful problem solver who considers multiple perspectives
  • Clear communicator who can tailor messages to different audiences
  • Collaborative team player who thrives in a cross-functional environment
  • Curious and proactive learner with a continuous improvement mindset

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
