Position Summary: As a Business Advisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and supporting the growth and development of our distributor network. This position will work closely with the distributors and their teams to provide business coaching, sales and administrative support, and training. In this capacity, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful business operations of the Mac Tools brand by ensuring your assigned distributors operate efficiently, meet our company standards, and deliver exceptional service to our customers. Acting as an Advisor/Coach, you will play a pivotal role in guiding the distributors to optimal profitability, productivity, customer satisfaction and overall sales growth.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Responsible for planning and executing business strategies to improve efficiencies in the operation and financial management of independent distributors
  • Meet with new distributors monthly for their initial start period to review financials, and help distributors meet established KPI’s; establish ongoing cadence post new start to support distributor
  • Train distributors to read and understand dashboard data and business health metrics
  • Prepare financial overview for distributors including breakeven analysis and goals for success
  • Review financial reporting and identify risks to Mac Tools and the independent business owner
  • Work with key business stakeholders to develop risk mitigation plans and strategies
  • Provide coaching to distributors and make recommendations for improving business metrics
  • Review Distributor business metrics to make recommendations on credit limits and credit extension to drive revenue
  • Analyze process and efficiencies of individual Distributors to identify areas of needed improvement
  • Responsible for maintaining records within our system on each account status
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships to facilitate the exchange of key information, understand and address needs with internal and external customers
  • Ability to influence Distributor’s to employ impactful decision-making regarding business health
  • Exercise discretion in releasing pending orders by evaluating business health, payment history, and credit status
  • Develop, implement, communicate, and monitor repayment plans
  • Carry out collection and reporting activities to meet specific deadlines
  • Monitor client account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities
  • Investigate and resolve customer queries
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Essential Skills & Experience:
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience is required; collections experience is strongly preferred
  • Strong financial acumen; experience in understanding Profit & Loss statements
  • Effective at performing detail-oriented tasks, and data analysis
  • Skilled in problem resolution and providing best practices solutions
  • Exceptional organizational, written, and verbal communication skills to manage across functions at various levels
  • Self-motivated individual with the desire to succeed and motivate others
  • Must have a solid knowledge of Microsoft 365
  • Sedentary work
  • Ability to travel 15% of the year
