DIRECTV’s Sales and Marketing Operations Team is seeking a Business Administrator 2 to join us! This position is a virtual work opportunity and can be located anywhere in the contiguous United States.

The Business Administrator 2 will be accountable for managing the operational activities supporting the DIRECTV video Commercial lines of business. Responsibilities include but are not limited to production support of projects and strategic initiatives impacting the Commercial business, reporting, specialty billing, manual process oversight, and production issue resolution. The position is expected to work independently to manage individual and team deliverables and priorities. The role will also work with cross-functional groups (e.g. Sales, Commercial Operations Project Management, IT, Customer Service, Legal, Dealer Compensation, etc.) to execute initiatives (either parts of or entire work efforts) intended to increase sales, revenue, and customer satisfaction.  The Business Administrator 2 will assist in identifying solutions, process efficiencies, and enhancements for program development, operations, and support areas.

Here's what you’ll do:

  • Support the launch of key initiatives by participating in the execution of Application User Acceptance Testing and Post Production Validation with Marketing, Sales, Customer CARE, Legal, Finance, and IT.
  • Support strategic initiatives ensuring day-to-day operations, integration, and performance are efficient and maximized.
  • Effectively communicate timelines, deliverables, roadblocks, and success factors to Senior Management and business stakeholders.
  • Help troubleshoot and manage production issues to resolution with various enterprise teams such as order management (IT), compensation (Finance), and reporting systems (DNA).
  • Use effective time management tools to consistently meet deadlines and ensure preparedness in support of new and existing programs.
  • Work with Project Management team and business stakeholders to implement scalable solutions (manual workarounds) that can be leveraged across multiple sales channels ensuring efficient and effective operational support.
  • Conduct best practice reviews to identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze workflow bottlenecks and streamline processes through establishing policies, procedures, and system enhancements, as needed.
  • Update and maintain documentation (e.g. SOP, fact sheets, Tech State, etc.) and tools utilized by Commercial Operations (ASANA) to manage work efforts. As appropriate author or keep updated key documentation/artifacts. 

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3 – 5 years required, 5+ years desired, relevant experience (working with multiple departments, organizational skills, documentation, operations, etc.).
  • Proven analytical skills and experience managing operational support for strategic projects and programs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including a qualitative and quantitative skill set.
  • Sense of urgency when dealing with customer impacting issues or obstacles hitting project timelines.
  • Ability to effectively operate within diverse and cross-functional groups.
  • Flexibility and the ability to accommodate change.
  • Leadership qualities, including meeting facilitation, time management, organizational skills, and ability to influence others.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues and design appropriate solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of senior management.
  • Expertise in standard MS Office applications with strong focus on Excel and Access.

May require a background check due to job duties requiring routine access to DIRECTV and DIRECTV customer’s proprietary data. Qualified applicants with arrest and conviction will be considered for employment in accordance with local ordinances and state law.

This position requires, but is not limited to, 5 – 10% travel.

DIRECTV's compensation structure is designed to be market-competitive and fully supports efforts to attract and retain employees. It is the company's policy to offer pay that is competitive with other employers in the local market. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

The Base Salary range displayed below reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for each of DIRECTV's 4 (four) US Labor Market Zones. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

DIRECTV WAGE ZONES $79,420 - $144,210

Low (N1): $79,420 - $119,130

Mid (N2): $83,600 - $125,400

High (N3): $91,960 - $137,940

Top (N4): $96,140 - $144,210
