The metal polisher/buffer is responsible for the buffing, or polishing of our different metals including brass, bronze and stainless steel and a variety of other metals with the use of a polishing lathe.
Job Description- Operate polishing lathe machines on brass or other metal substrates
- Correct surface defects, smooth surfaces, and polish or buff to desired finish
- Set up and operate polishing equipment.
- Apply polishing compound to buffing wheel
- Buff parts to achieve smooth or mirror-like finishes.
- Record daily production on production sheets.
- Expectations:

- Understanding manufacturing capabilities, processes, and procedures
- Must manage and complete multi-functional tasks quickly.
- Must be willing to work in a fast paced, intense environment, with the ability to complete assignments.
- Must be willing to wear a respirator mask.
- Availability to work overtime to meet deadlines.
- Other duties as assigned by Manager.
- Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- The employee frequently is required to walk or stand for long periods of time.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs., occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- The employee frequently will apply pressure to the air way buff.
