Budtender

Job Summary:
As a Budtender, you are the face of the dispensary and play a key role in creating a positive and informed customer experience. You are responsible for educating customers about cannabis products, ensuring compliance with all legal regulations, and delivering friendly, efficient service that aligns with the dispensary’s standards. The ideal candidate is personable, knowledgeable, and passionate about the cannabis industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers with a welcoming, professional attitude.

• Provide detailed product knowledge and personalized recommendations based on customer needs and preferences.

• Educate customers on cannabis strains, methods of consumption, dosages, and effects.

• Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations, including verifying valid identification, checking purchase limits, and following proper sales procedures.

• Operate POS system accurately for transactions, returns, and loyalty programs.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor, displays, and product storage areas.

• Stay up to date with new products, industry trends, and dispensary promotions.

• Handle customer issues or concerns with professionalism, escalating to management when necessary.

• Assist in restocking, labeling, and inventory management as needed.

Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years of age or older and able to pass all required background checks.

• Prior customer service, retail, or cannabis industry experience preferred.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to retain product knowledge and explain it clearly to a diverse range of customers.

• Must be dependable, punctual, and a team player.

• Able to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
